If it's sale season, they always have a marked-down rack where you can find real good stuff at very low prices. When I was there about a week ago, I almost bought a pair of dockers for my hubby at USD8.99. Dirt cheap, right?

I'm a big fan of the 99 cents store... 99 cents for everything!

which part of US are you going...so we could suggest better place to go and shop...

Outlet Mall Shopping are the cheapest place to shop for branded clothings....my personal experience is that the quality there is much better than here....I bought a similar Guess shirt one there for me another bought it here, 2 years ago...but local purchased after couple of washes, was not as soft as mine?

Costco you need membership.........or someone who is a member to bring you in. Something like the Makro concept, when it was first introduced here. Goods are normally sold in bulk.

What to buy depends on where you are going...............everywhere you can find the normal hypermarts like Walmart, Target etc which unlike here, are located in the suburbs. Of course, you can visit Factory Outlets,e.g. Coach, Timberland, Nike, Guess, Corningware etc, etc which again are situated at the suburbs selling previous season lines at heavily discounted price.

Can I send you my shopping list????

Also do check out the basement stores in big departmental outlets. These is the area where goods with odd sizes and out of date fashion or seasonal goods are cleared cheap. Check them out. Sometimes you get some really good buys.

I guess it should be ralph laurent and polo shirt. Go to T.J Maxx for the cheapo ralph laurent and polo shirt. Get a dozen if you would because it cost 3-5 times even if you convert to ringgit. Other than that get some quality shoes which are not available in malaysia.

Dont forget to check out JC Penney too. Again look for past seasons/off season clothings. If its summer, winter clothings are cheap and vice versa. My fav is still Walmart where you can find almost everything under the sun at cheaper prices. Sometimes, chk the local papers for bargain coupons for daily items. If you hv internet access and a mailing address, you can search for bargains on electrical items and gadgets. When you hv stayed sometime there, you will definitely know where to look for bargains for US branded stuffs like Nike, Guess, DKNY, CK, GAP, Timberland, Banana Republic etc. Most likely they are at Outlet Malls or Factory Outlets. They also hv quarterly sales for most dept stores like our Mega Sale so keep a lookout. Payless Shoes outlets retails bargain footwear made frm third world countries like China, Pakistan, Cuba, Malaysia included.

i used to love Timberland shoes (the very first model boat shoes) and i bought 6 pairs of them last time but it was when US$1=RM2.5. Today a US$100 shoes will be equalvalent to RM370 ler. But i still think it is worth to buy shoes especially office working shoes for their better design, perhaps thoes less than US$100. I were hunting for a pair of shoes in KL for a few months due to their lack of the state-of-the-art in design...
