Today will be the last day 900B will be running @ the old fare of RM 0.50 . With effect from tomorrow the 900B route # will be replaced by 623 & with the new fare of RM 1.

Does anybody know whether there is a rapidkl bus from IOI mall, puchong jaya to SS15, subang jaya ?

Does it pass through sunway pyramid ?

How much is the charge ?

I heard there is a new trunk bus T66 in the future, what is the route ?

Right now there is no direct RapidKL bus from Puchong IOI to SS15 Subang Jaya. However, if you board the T43 bus (RM2 sehari) you can ask the driver if he would be willing to drop you off at the LDP/NPE intersection. Perhaps you can suggest to RapidKL that the T43 make a stop at Bandar Sunway.

There is a Bas Mini (#68) from IOI to Sunway Pyramid (RM0.70 or 0.80).

At Sunway Pyramid, you can pick up the RapidKL 521 or 623 (RM1 sehari) or T62 (RM2 sehari) which will take you to SS15 Subang Jaya.

The route you mentioned, T66 (RM2 sehari) will be connecting Tesco Puchong to Hentian Bandar Shah Alam

I think it is really ridiculous that rapidKl doesn't connect directly from puchong to SS15. I don't like changing connecting buses as waiting for one bus is a torture in Malaysia.

How do we suggest to rapidkl to change the route of T66 as follows ?

Tesco - IOI mall
IOI mall - Sunway pyramid
Sunway pyramid - SS15
SS15 - Summit
Summit - USJ 8


This will facilitate people who study in SS15 (metro, inti college etc), and people who want to go from one major mall to another mall in puchong and subang ! SS15 is very important as it is also near the KTM there.

Can you help out if you know any internal staff in rapidKL ?

RapidKL is planning a direct bus (no. 525) from Subang Parade to PJ State (which will allow me to go to Strawberry Fields whenever I want yay!)

So the idea of a Local Shuttle bus from Subang Parade to IOI Puchong or Tesco Puchong would not be a bad idea....you saw the phone numbers and emails in the earlier post...send them your ideas concerns and complaints, we all can do the same.

If the link road between Tesco and USJ is ever opened...then rapidKL could have a bus running

This bus could now operate in a single direction or both directions...this could become a major local shuttle route, a Subang-USJ-Puchong circle.

I can also think of a few other things that would make a difference for RapidKL buses...

Reducing interference with traffic
1) right now the buses on Jalan Kemajuan Subang turn right at Jalan Jengka, then SS16/1, and come up past Carrefour, which puts them squarely into the jam between Carrefour and the KTM station.

I have another suggestion....have RapidKL buses would then turn right at Carrefour, left at Jalan SS16/1.

have the buses continue to the u-turn just after the Daerah Petaling building and then come back to Jalan Kemajuan Subang. Or, another option would be to make one lane of Jalan Jengka contra flow, and for buses only, between Jalan SS16/1 and Jalan Kemajuan Subang

This would allow the bus to drive around Subang Parade without having to face the traffic jam and delays beside Carrefour.

This also would allow one bus (route 524) to use Jalan Jengka to get to SS14/18, which would be a better example of route planning.

Finally, it would promote transit use by making Subang Parade into a more prominent transit hub...bringing more choices and variety of customers to Subang Parade...

Saving time at toll booths
2) What about getting Touch N Go cards, one for each bus (not driver)?

This could save time at the toll gates....isnt it strange that buses need to wait in line...why not have a T & G for trucks and buses....Im aware of the potential for abuse but there can be ways to resolve that.

Improving bus-rail integration
3) In Hong Kong, bus routes that stop/end at an MTR station have a designation that ends in M (like 87M), while bus routes that stop/end at a KCR station have a designation that ends in K (like 87K)

the KTM Komuter serves a purpose like the KCR, and the LRT serves a purpose like the MTR.

So, why not have bus routes that stop/end at an LRT station have a designation that ends in L (like 623L), while bus routes that stop/end at a KTM station have a designation that ends in K (like 522K).

This would give passengers better knowledge and improve the integration of transit uses.

Any thoughts on these ideas?

Another thing I don't understand is this rm $2 per day. Does it mean

2. I use the same bus service number (one time only) for only 2 dollars.

3. I use many bus service number (eg. T43 and T60) together for only 2 dollars (not 4 dollars) within a single day ?

Hi morning Yeoh.
Say NO to RAPID KL.. I waited for 25min with blur instruction, rude conductor telling passengers ke sana ke sini" teasing passenger for not knowing how to use the bus service instead of explaining nicely. Do not have proper sign indicating which number of bus where the passenger should wait, so have to ask one by one at the counter and you get rude response sana sana simply pointing. The bus number i rode yesterday WPL 499. The journey took 1hr to reach SUmmit Subang Jaya which i consider lucky because the Federal Highway is cleared. New bus with very loud aircon system, sometime cold sometime feeling warm...Driver sucks! If you are 9 months pregnant, don't go onboard. Your baby would just slip out the way the driver tekan and let go the accelerator and break..ssss****!

I am forwarding the above complaint which I received from one of the residents in USJ. She called me at 7.34pm while sitting in the bus complaining about the manner the driver was driving the bus that made her sick. She said that the driver was doing this intentionally to upset some of the passengers who complained about the way he was driving them crazy and she is an innocent victim. In fact she was crying when she related this incident to me. She said the counter people at the terminal is not helpful at all. BTW, I was the one who posed the question to RapidKL at its briefing held Sept 10 at the PJS Community Hall with YB Loh Seng Kok. I highlighted that the system can be fantastic, the infrastructure excellent but the peopleware has a long way to go knowing very well that the mentality level can be low and in this case the fasting month could also make people more temperamental.

Let us see what RapidKL has to say though this is an isolated case. They did admit in their reply to my question at their briefing that there could be some black sheep in their service and they are serious in shearing their fleece or painting them white.

# 69 has been replaced by # 508 which only goes to Puchong Jaya.For Kotaraya :

1. From W. Puchong you take #508 to Tesco
2. From Tesco you take T60 to KL Sentral & lastly
3. From KL Sentral you take #110 to Kotaraya

The total is RM 4 flat rate for both ways. With the same ticket in each of the zone you can use it as many times as possible in 1 day.

The fare is based on the type of bus you board, not the distance that you travel (as in the past).

The fare of RM1 per day is for the Local Shuttles, (these are the Green-board buses, with a 3-digit code e.g. 623, 524, etc.). With this RM1, you will get a piece of paper that says Tempatan, which will allow you to board any local shuttle, anywhere in the Klang Valley, as many times as you want, in one day.

The fare of RM2 per day is for the Trunk buses, (these are the blue-board buses with the letter T e.g. T43, T60, etc.). With this RM2, you will get a piece of paper that saysUtama, which will allow you to board any of the Trunk buses, anywhere in the Klang Valley, as many times as you want, in one day.

The City Shuttles (these are the red-board buses with a code beginning with 1 e.g. 115, 110, etc) also have a fare of RM2 per day. With this RM2, you will get a piece of paper that says Bandaraya, will allow you to board any of the City Shuttle buses, anywhere in KL, as many times as you want, in one day.

So the idea is to get you to hop on the buses, hop off, make as many trips as possible on the buses because you dont have to pay for each trip.

The more you use the bus, the more money you save, because you only pay the flat rate one time and you can make as many trips as you want. In fact, as soon as you make a third trip per day (e.g. besides the trip to work and the trip home), you are starting to save money.

ps. as some have pointed out, you can even sell the pass or transfer it to a family member which actually encourages more people to use the bus

If you need to use all buses, buy the Pas Semua/Harian (1 day pass for all buses except express) at RM4, or the Pas Sepadu (Daily Bus + LRT + express bus) pass at RM7.

for 3 types of local shuttle(green), trunk shuttle(blue) and city shuttle(red) .. can't they just simply use the naming convention like the trunk bus which all start with T for local and City as well, perhap with L and C ?

My little understanding of the idea is that one ticket (RM2) per day is reuseable for the same date regardless how many times you use it for that day. The RM2 is for one zone only. If you cross zones, you need to pay for the price of the other zone. Nonetheless, all tickets are valid for the date it was issued.

Hence, yes, you keep and reuse for that day, no need to buy ticket again.
