RapidKL management needs to get on top of things and get their bus drivers to seriously follow policy...that should mean that
*the bus waits a maximum time at the terminals (e.g. 10 minutes-15 minutes)
*the drivers allow passengers to wait inside the bus
*the bus leaves when the next unit of the same route arrives (if less than the expected time)
*drivers are slow and reasonable when driving...not F1 style
The actions of RapidKL employees are a very serious problem that RapidKL needs to address.
Can you please send your suggestions to Ms Mok from RapidKL ? I wholly support your ideas.
There's no point saying that the govt will improve bus services when the staff attitude is so poor. No wonder the traffic jam increases everyday because public transportation is still poor.

However, due to some bus breakdown on that day, the T43 is servicing with 6 buses (compared with the preplan of 8 buses) resulting longer frequency i.e. 45 minutes.

This is pure nonsense. Which customer will 'feedback' to extend the bus waiting time ? Every customer would want shorter time.
So much for 'improved' public transportation. So back to driving my car ?
If i drive from Puchong to Sri Petaling LRT, only takes 20mins
If i use local bus-T43-KelanaJaya-MJ-SriPetaling, i think will take 2hours!
In that case, i think i will drive
I just want to know if there's a way to get to Sri Petaling LRT by bus without going to KelanaJaya LRT.
take bus T60 from IOI mall to pearl point (cost RM2 for Trunk Bus Daily Pass)
take bus 503 from Pearl Point to Taman OUG (cost RM1 for Local Shuttle Daily Pass)
take bus 543 from Taman OUG to Sri Petaling LRT (using your Local Shuttle pass, no extra cost)
This route will be a lot quicker and lower cost (RM3 only) than using the LRT.
In the future, there will be a route 541 Local shuttle from IOI mall to Bukit Jalil LRT. I honestly do not know why they have not introduced this route yet....
please, email rapidkl at firstname.lastname@example.org, or COO (bus) Mohd. Ali at email@example.com and tell them that route 541 (Bkt. Jalil-IOI Mall) should be in place asap....and that they should extend 541 to USJ 8 when the USJ1-Tesco Link is completed.
I have said to rapidKL that they should introduce LRT Extension Bus routes...buses that follow the path of future LRT routes...so that the customers can have something now, rather than making them wait for 5+ years.
My view is this...if you are planning an LRT, you dont just build an LRT and hope (which is what was done in the past). You tease your potential customers by giving them bus routes that follows where the LRT is going...even stopping in the same areas as the future LRT stations.
The implication is obvious...you are telling your customers "if you support this bus route, we will provide better and better service and one day it will become LRT."
This leaves a greater likelihood for success because when the LRT comes, people are already familiar with the transit and ready/raring to use the LRT.
Subang Jaya and USJ definitely need this kind of service! I dont know why RapidKL doesnt realize it.
The T60 route takes 40 minutes ride to KL sentral. That is not including the 15 minutes waiting time (minimum). So this route is not suitable for any LRT feeder bus.
It would be good if someone suggest to rapidkl to have a direct route to bukit jalil.
how much of that time is spent stuck in traffic? How much extra time spent at bus stops? If that time can be reduced to, say, 20 minutes, then that would be very good.
T60 would be a very good choice for an LRT route into Puchong...in 10 years, perhaps....but if they give the bus special lanes, and the ability to control traffic signals...then you can get fast, frequent, reliable bus service now.
I wonder who would be willing to support this...separate lanes for buses on major roads like Jln. Klang Lama, Jln. Puchong, Pers. Kewajipan
