    Journey planner

Hi guys. A journey planner (route finder) is one of the things I find missing from www.rapidkly.com.my (though it was on older version of www.putralrt.com.my site).

Recently, I found that http://nanika.net/metro/ "MetrO" has a database of KL's LRT routes including RapidKL City Shuttle, Trunk and Express bus routes. This free MetrO software can be downloaded and run on smartphones and PDAs including Nokia Series 60 phones and Dopod pda-phones.

You can also access the Metro route database online via Web or WAP at http://imetro.nanika.net/metro and choose Asia-Pacific/Malaysia/KualaLumpur database.

Unfortunately "imetro" RapidKL bus routes database is currently the one prior to 21apr07 changes.

ps: wah my maiden post here.

Looking at RapidKL's U67 line map I see you're referring to U67 USJ8-Pasaramakota service that stops at "Spg. USJ12/2, Pers. Tujuan" on the way to Pasaramakota. And stops at "Rmh 65, Pers. Tujuan" on the way back to USJ8. Right?

Streetdirectory map of the stops somewhere near the "*" below ...

I'd say you have to take either of these two RapidKL Area 6 buses to travel between Stesen Kelana Jaya and Kelana Mahkota Condo ...
    * T624 STESEN KELANA JAYA - MBPJ from Stesen Kelana Jaya passes SS7/26, SS7/17, Tiara Condo, Stadium MBPJ, SS7/2, SS7/13 and then back to Setesen Kelana Jaya or
    * T607 LEMBAH SUBANG - STESEN KELANA JAYA from Stesen Kelana Jaya passes SS7/26, SS7/17, Tiara Condo, Stadium MBPJ and on towards Lembah Subang.
... looks like the stops along SS7/26 and SS7/17 near Kelana Mahkota Condo are your choices.

Mmm ... try calling RapidKL Helpline 03-7625-6999 and see whether they give the same choices as above.

    Correction:
No 2 doesn't apply since U67 arrives at USJ 14 by way of Psrn. Kewajipan.

I see that iMetro have now updated the RapidKL City Bus (Bxxx) routes. Though, they still have the old RapidKL trunk line Txx routes.

You can directly access the KualaLumpur iMetro route database using this url, http://imetro.nanika.net/metro?o=h&v=KUALALUMPUR .

From that page, try selecting only the bus lines, and key in "USJ 8" (select it) in the Departure box, and key in "KLCC" (select "Jalan P.Ramlee - Suria KLCC") and see what bus routes it suggest. It'll suggest you the "Shortest route" and the "Fewest connections route". Except that now iMetro needs updating of RapidKL trunk, express and local bus routes.

Except that, U88 pass through University Malaya, Kerinchi, Bangsar then KL sentral directly go to PASARAMAKOTA. However, this U88 must go to Kota Raya before reach to the PASARAMAKOTA the bus hub. And this U88 pass through many LRT station:Asia Jaya, University, Kerinchi, Bangsar, KL Sentral, and Pasar Seni (also the last station of this bus). This U88 link between Damansara, North PJ and KL city.

From KL Sentral, I then took LRT reached to Kelana Jaya station, and then took U89 go back to Ikano. U89 pass through Damansara Utama Uptown, and One Utama, and it is unnecessary to get down from the bus at One Utama although One Utama is the bus hub. For U89, is the only the LRT feeder-bus for Trunk Line (Utama) system.

Overall, I am very happy to see the RapidKL making this change bring a lot convenience. Especially, for people who want to go to One Utama, Ikano, The curve, ,Cineleisure has a lot of choices. If you want to go to One Utama, not only to take U82 or U43 from Kelana Jaya station, you can also take U89 go to One Utama, and U89 may better than U43 because it schedules about 10-15 minutes per bus where U43 schedules approximately 20 minutes. U88 also another option for this destinations.
And for Kota Damansara people, can also take U89 stop at Kelana Jaya Station then take T623 to Subang, Sunway Pyramid . Not like previously, people need to make a lot of change of the bus go to Subang area.

However, the RapidKL should do more improvement for their services. They need to input more number of the bus to carry more passenger. Still, Metrobus has a best profit
enough than RapidKL because Metrobus not only schedule in 5 minutes and also they cut down the bas fare. RapidKL not necessary cut down their bas fare, because RM2.00 for Utama daily ticket consider cheaper already. The only thing they need to do is to input more buses, shortest the frequency of the bus will attract more passenger.

And I hope they should decorate for the bus stop, because the outlook of the bus stop is very simple and ugly, without any bus information. This is more nice look bus stop from google image:

    http://www.versalux.com.au/images/bus-stop--web_001.jpg

But I understand RapidKL afraid people will demage the bus stop, like break the glass.
Secondly, As I mentioned RapidKL bus should has audio message system to determine the bus stop name and where is the bus going before, for example, " Next stop, Bandar Utama" or in Malay " Bus perhentian berikutnya, Bandar Utama". And until last station " Thank you for traveling with Rapid KL". I know the new RapidKL bus has this audio message system, but the bus driver don't know how to utilize it. Hence, RapidKL should train the bus driver to utilize this audio message system.

Took the U67 yesterday from Pasaramakota (Klang bas stand) and had to wait for 45 minutes for the bus to arrive and another 10 minutes in the bus while the driver took a break. Waited from 5:50 to 6:40 PM. It was 6:50 when the bus left Klang Bas Stand. U80 already did 4 departures from the same termnal. Most of the other busses already did at least 2 departures. Is anything wrong with the U 67 service? Is it a hourly bus schedule or every 15 mins?
