You don't have to doubt it. It is true.

Those of us who work very closely with the police in SJ and USJ would have received this sms in our phones. We on our part normally will forward to our network of friends who are the eyes and ears to look out for any criminal activities. I don't expect the general public to react as I bet you that if you want to help, you would have keyed in Insp Ooi and Joe Singh's contact number in your phone by now but honestly, have you. So if you should see the suspects, do you know the numbers to call unlike us where we have all the relevant contact numbers at our finger tips. I am afraid this disemmination of information has gone a little bit out of hand and found its way into the Net. This unorthodox way of smsing this alerts is only meant for close trusted circle knowing that the information will not be adultrated along the way. If it is meant for the general public, I am sure the police will issue a press statement.

Thank you PCYeoh and others, for working hard behind the scenes to ensure the security of SJ and USJ. I too received this message (thru the SJBA email network), they also have verified the info with Joe Singh. I immediately sms my wife and she in turn sms other friends to watch out. So there are multiple networks operating throughout SJ and USJ .... disseminating info for the betterment of the community. Syabas Subang Jaya !!!

I am amazed. In my experience, this type of case is relatively easy for the serious crime CID unit. They can do all sorts of things to track down this kind of jokers, and even worse cases. With a small outfit like the USJ police, I feel that CID serious crimes unit should help out. But I will pitty those buggers.

I think the sentence "USJ and SJ is not safe anymore ..." can just as easily be applied to Kepong, PJ, Puchong, Cheras, JB, Klang, etc. etc. ... MALAYSIA as a whole is just not safe anymore. Crime rate is at the peak. Even if you move away from SJ and USJ, you can't escape the problem.

But what is the government doing ?
    What are people doing ?
What is the press doing ?
What are the political parties doing ?

People like PC Yeoh and his network is doing their best to tackle the problem, working quietly with the police ... for the benefit of the community ... WITHIN the CONSTRAINTS of this country (where the government has not committed additional manpower, budget, etc. ... where most people are just complaining, talking but not doing anything).

My questions, and the questions I wish more people will ask are :
    "How can I help ?"
"Is there anything I can do ?"
"Can I contribute in any way to tackle this problem ?"
"Can someone tell me whether there are any voluntary initiatives out there that I can participate in ?"

Righto pcyeoh. We should work hand in hand with the cop to combat crime. After all, it is our property and life that are at stake.
