Good food
being a home maker, i am responsible for function and where to eat for the family during our outing at 1 Utama, Ikano and Mid Valley.
i only know : -
1 Utama, Mid Valley
Restaurant Chilli, good food and free food for kids under 12 with free soft drink.... 1 main dish for 1 kids free meal
Mid Valley
Esquire kitchen,
Tong poh yook, foo yong tan, fish and sour fish and curry are good...
Yong chow chao fan - best for family and kids.
beef Noodle - not bad but a bit too saulty.
1 Utama,
Kluang kopitiam, noodle and nasi lemak is good but toast bread is just good for kids with small stomach to hold.
1 utama,
TGIF, food n service are good, kids eat free as Chilli..
Any suggestion other than Burger king, KFC, MC donald, Pizza.

1U:
Nippon Yataimura is quite good... (non-halal). It's opposite memory lane and next to secret recipe on the lowest level of the new wing.
Italianies has pretty decent Italian food - but the portions are huge so it's best to have a few people and share.
Fish and Co has better fish and chips (imho) than Manhattan Fish Market, which seems to be more popular. But the last time I was there the service was pretty dismal. The time before that it was ok.
Waffle World (top floor new wing, not sure if I got the name right..) has nice waffles for dessert.
Vietnam Kitchen is in 1U - have not tried, but I love the one in USJ9 (Subang Business Ctr) (non halal)
Mid-Valley:
Kikuzakura on the top floor near the big Food Court is pretty good.
Madam Kwan's should be good. Have only been to the KLCC one though
Oh Sushi is pretty good but they recently raised their prices :-(
Piccolo Mondo's is pretty good if you want Italian
If you want something different, try Analakshimi's (spelling?), which has great Indian vegetarian, and it is for charity.

I love Yoshinoya's beef rice (If you take beef). Has branches all in klcc, mid valley, Bukit Bintang, 1u.
If you want a nice, fun place to have korean BBQ (Soup & Grill), there is a place called 'Restaurant Talipon'. Just right opposite of the Kelana Jaya LRT. It's all you can eat and costs about RM18.00 per adult. Not sure how much charge for kids though. Open air though, no aircon... Lots of varieties, including Yee Sang during CNY period.
Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.
