    Google censors in China

Google has played by the rules, when in China, do what the Chinese do. Try the following Google image search and you will see the difference.

Even successful internet mega enterprenuers like Larry Page and Sergey Brin who build their business on the principle of "freedom and transparency of information "also realised that free speech doesn't pay the bills. Is this the modern day version of the "policy of appeasement"?

Welcome to the real world. Absolute freedom has always been a myth and it still is. China is a huge country with a huge population and an economy which is developing at near impossible fast rate. It needs the check and control. Or chaos would set in. And the so-called freedom advocaters will be no where to be found when such happens. I am a strong believer in a regulated and controlled environment - I call it crafted environment.

How to Hack Google's censor in China (fairly simply)

Chinese web users can see full, uncensored results for their Google search by replacing "&meta=" with "&meta=cr%3DcountryBR" in the URL. Once the string is replaced, the censorship will not affect the results.

This is what a chinese search for Democracy looks like after this method has been applied:
