    Pay bills via online

Ok peeps, to ease traffic also as well as convenience to run our errans ie. our bills via online ..

Anyone here uses any other online site to pay bills besides using Maybank2u. Cos I know Maybank imposes a certain amount of service charges here and knowing some like also myself wouldn't likely to use their facilities if we have the choice.

Anyone, anybody hv any idea on this?

    I'm using

    http://www.payonline.com.my

This covers at least some of my bills and I can pay via CC from overseas. Another advantage is that you do not need any specific bank account. I just find Maybank service horrible so I avoid them.

Unfortunately it doesn't cover TNB and a few others.
    See you...

I use citibank online to pay my bill. No jam and no hassle. It is free as far as i can tell. The only down side is that there are not enough local branches available. Otherwise, I am very happy with citibank.

yes, maybank does not charge the users but rather charges the traders. Maybank earlier wanted to charge RM10 annually to its users but later scrapped this idea as consumers all made noise.

Anyhow, besides maybank2u, i also used to use BCB's online channel-e too. Not as many options of bill payments but still ok.

Maybank2u only charges fees for certain transaction, for example, PTPTN, Tabung Haji, etc. The site will state that it will charge for every transaction. If not, they will not charge.

Tenaga, Telekom, TM, syabas, indah water are not charged any fees.

if you are paying by cash, then yup all banks accepts online payments for almost anything under the sun...

if use credit card, then its a bit limited..

charges wise,...no different between banks coz they are basically robbers...either they rob you while oaying bills, or later at the end of the year when they charged you for maintaining current account...

above all, paying online needs you to do reconciliation on your own coz sometimes there are tendency that your accounts are debited but the other side are not credited....crediting is not always online but with batch run..

so diff banks diff batch run time, some daily, some two days once...so be mindful..

whatever it is, it is still convenience at the comfort of your own home / office...

safety wise,...hey banks invest millions to ensure this, if you ppl are one of those who does not trust the safety of internet banking....well, its your choice....

Bugbear, I do agree with you the citibank online is good for bill payment and I am using an auto-debit for - Astro, MBSA, TM, Tmnet, TNB, Maxis, Celcom with my gold credit card. What I am more concern of is how to avoid paying the annual fee RM190 which SBB offer me FOC gold card with less merchant .

Currently looking for a bank which can cover more utility and merchant with foc annual fee

Actually u can write in a letter to tell them to waived the annual fee of RM190 if u're a good pay master .. tell them if they dun agree in waiving it then u'll pull out from Citibank and transfer whateva u hv with them to SBB. This usually works cos i've seen my colleagues doing it .. haha ..

I find Citibank & MBF cards annual fees higher than rest of the banks .. tis is actually over charging when ppl are using their cards so frequent.

I think paying one's bills via Citibank Online is one of the best ways.

It's fast, efficient & safe and it's online.

But I don't give auto-debit instructions to them. I make payments via the internet manually.

As for the RM190 that Citibank charges annually for usage of the Gold Card, I really don't mind, as all the points gained from amount spent are more than enough to be utilised to offset the annual fees of RM190.

I got no problem with Maybank2u thus far with regards to online payments to listed payees.

My only beef is their "transfer to 3rd parties", which requires some sort of additional PIN number...which I tend to forget to obtain from the ATM machine everytime, and hence conveniently overlooked.

That is for security pin but if u happen to transfer money evry month to that same acc .. juz put it into your favs and u don't even need to request for that TAC.

Recently i did my credit card payment thru maybank2u .. and the charges are RM2 per transaction .. initially , they only charged me 0.50cents but not it's RM2 on each transaction i made ..

Anyhow, it's still faster than queing in the jam to go taipan to make payments and etc etc ..

Have you forgotten how to write a cheque and post it to the card company? Costs only 30 sen postage and 10sen for the cheque. Even the envelope is provided f.o.c But this only works if you give it enough lead time for postal deliveries and cheque clrearances.
