    Which Datuk politician?

    From The Star, December 30:
    http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story...151&sec=nation

    Datuk left red-faced by raid

A raid by anti-vice policemen at a spa and karaoke outlet in a hotel in Subang Jaya left a politician Datuk rather red-faced.

The Datuk was in the spa when four officers and 23 men from Bukit Aman's anti-vice and gambling division arrived at 10pm.

It is believed that the Datuk left through a back door to avoid being photographed by the press.

    Ahhmmm... which datuk politician ni?

Why should the Datuk be let-off the hook while others would have been handcuffed into the Police Station?

This is not an offence, going to a spa for massage etc. if it is, is handcuff required?Did they handcuff the other customers? Why were they handcuff? Was it on TV or papers? Or were the customers handcuff due to drugs issue etc.

The question here is who is the Datuk??? But Datuk can't go to a spakah?

Agreed with you Syvester Stallone. It is not an offence to patronise the spa for a good rub - whichever way. It is just that some people needed to be rubbed the right way. That Datuk politician (ours is thousand of kilometre away from that scene and will be back only next Tuesday) could have his reputation at stake mainly because his race does not allow him to be there at such a joint. Possibly he is also a married man and to be found in the company of sexy women dressed so alluring he got a lot of and I mean a whole lot of explaining to do to his wife when he gets home. He can't possibly say "Honey, that was our company farewell dinner bash to 2005." We in the IT line always joke about that joint that is purportedly operated by IBM Big Blue and the Apple Computer, the first one in the world that is IBM and Apple compatible. I feel very uneasy whenever I have to bring my wife there for dinner there and having to walk through the basement car park where the joint is operating from. No, no it is not that I was afraid that one of the ladies of the night start calling my name out but rather some of them are dressed in such a way that my eyes need to triple parked at their cleavages.

A Datuk was among 43 patrons who were caught by surprise in a vice raid at a spa and karaoke outlet of a five-star hotel here last night.

However, the Datuk, who is also a politician, was released together with other patrons after their statements were recorded.

He managed to avoid the media by escaping through the basement parking.

Police are tightlipped over his identity.

In the three-hour raid from 10pm, the team from Bukit Amanís Crime Investigation Division picked up 25 foreign and five local women, aged between 18 and 30, on suspicion of being involved in vice activities at the premises.

Some tried to escape via the outletís emergency exit but failed.

They were later taken in a police truck to the nearest police station to facilitate investigations.

The team also picked up two local women, believed to be pimps.

Police also took statements from the outletís 36 staff.

Last nightís raid was the seventh conducted at the hotel since early this year.

The previous raid was on Sept 30 by Subang Jaya police when seven foreign women were picked up for their alleged involvement in vice.

Subang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fuad Talib said that excluding last nightís raid, police have rounded up a total of 41 foreign women at the outlet.

I do wonder why they conduct so many raids but not able to shut the place down??

Isa, narrow down your search field, the joint is somewhere in a hotel in Subang Jaya, as reported.

Um, this will probably sound wrong, but

Which joint is the one in question?

I have noticed some irregularities around a lounge/bar that some of my colleagues go to after work.

Now: if you think the name is better left unsaid...how about a tiny hint. Subang Jaya is a bigger place than I thought since it includes Puchong, USJ, etc.
