Went to Chillis' in Empire. I had south western lamb, wife had chicken salad and a friend had south western eggroll. Average price and average taste.

Wanted to have dinner @ LOL - too bad it was closed on Sunday nite.

Detoured to La La Chong - our first visit since they shifted. Food still good despite comments from friends that quality has deteriorated.

Went over and tried Jyu Raku for Sunday dinner - ordered mainly rice dishes - just as good as Rakuzen next door - very subtle difference, maybe just my luck on the day but the roasted unagi was not as nicely done as Rakuzen, and Jyu-Raku menu is a bit heavier on the sauce - overall, I would rate both places as almost equal in QC - price wise, I think Jyu-Raku is just slightly cheaper around 5-10% ... Wifey said, go again next time, and go for tempura, sushi, sashimi and nabe before final verdict ... at this point, for rice dishes, Rakuzen is slightly ahead ....

Had tea break yesterday in ss2 Teapot Cafe. Environment is warm & nice to sit and kill time. Tried the scones there, ain't as good back in Cameron. But the Chocolate Eclair is nice & creamy.

Ordered a pot of tea: Rose petal w/ Vanilla is one of the house special recommendation. Taste ok, quite nice.

    Absolutely agreed.
Lamb so so only. Very dry.
Pork satay Melaka style. Definitely not as good as Melaka satay.

Probably a good place for frinds to hang out and drink but definitely not for makan.

It is who you know when there is a write up or to cut Q .
But then like KWChang said sometimes publicity is bad because if it doesnt live up to the billings -, customers get more than tummy upset - they get heartburnt.

Thanks, Megatron. Now I know where NOT to go. Btw, I never trust those food reviews in newspapers. They are always biased. The only thing I trust are my eyes. No crowd, no go for me.

In KL, I dont believe in crowd. Right at Subang SS15, went to the crowdest and stalls from A to Z, but end up with no right answer to my tastebuds.

In Ipoh and Penang, crowds are never wrong. A simple thing from CKT to CCF. Mean about food but simple food meant a lot when it is done riight.
