Oke mon, tis thread is requested by you, so i'm starting it .. better start telling me all your weird things u ate over the weekend ..
Is there anything like crocoaches? grilled lizards? haha .. jz joking ..
For me, i had a wine tasting at this Wine Cottage in KL, then tried tis chicken wing in Red Box Sg. Wang ... after that went to jln alor, 1 shop opposite Wong Ah Wah chicken wing .. had their fried sotong which is fantastic ... can't wait to go there again ..

Haha..welcome Mon to Kokomo's 1st thread in Cari Makan? Okie, I had 2 bananas on Sat morn. Then nothing at all till Sat night. Went to North Port Klang with friends for seafood at Port Village..It was good, we had steamed patin fish, mantis prawns, deep fried beancurd, fried lala vercimelli, sweet sour crabs and 'man tau' to dip into the crab sauce..Wah, this is bad, my tummy got engine noise liao.. ..err..no supper after that, just an iced-milo late into the night..

Sunday, went to check out this Sarawak Laksa at Bangsar, (it's in the migration thread)..went shopping at Low Yat, had teh tarik and kampung half-boiled eggs at the Kopi-Tiam for teabreak...and...a pack of maggi for dinner..

Hope we won't be the only 2 here.. Have to get ready for classes liao Kokomo..have fun!

ps: Kokomo, the only time I was at Red Box was for karaoke..didn't know the chick wings were nice? Am now waiting for the VIP card my bro applied for me..then I'd go again and check out the snacks too..while cranking up the volume..hehe..bye.

For Sat nite event ...

Wow!! Ur meal on sat nite was much granner than mine!! I didn't had anything for breakfast n lunch till tea-time @ Chatters USJ11, their tuna n sardine sandwich ... which is not bad .. or maybe i'm jz hungry hehe .. then later on at nite, I went to Wine Cottage for a few drinks of red wine , gotten too hungry, went down the road at Ole Cafe wif my friend had a corned beef pita which is actually, minced beef in the pita .. not bad though ..

Then i cont. at lil havana for some drinks ... after that to that Red Box in sg. wang wif few other friends .. they ordered tis chicken wings, chicken nuggets .. and fried prawns ... overall , jz the prawns ain't so fresh n its pretty small ... Got chased out from red box management cos its closing time at 4am .. then we adjourned to jln alor there , was supposingly to hv that Wong Ah Wah chicken wings but it's closed then went across the street for 'tai chow' .. had their fried sotong (deliciously good) haha ... some were having their buggers ..oppss i mean burgers ..

Never ever eat their Hokkein mee .. not good!!! All tis eating n drinking fiesta ended at 5.15am ..

Now Sun nite ...

Went to OUG - Citrus Food Empo there , tried that Penang Recipe .. had tis Nyonya Fried Rice Mushroom .. not bad .. Asam Laksa n Curry Mee .. plus their Fried Kuey Teow .. not bad!! But for their Otak otak .. not pure penang style .. so it's not nice at all also .. Cos of all tis food .. at lot of MSG .. feelin' kinda thirsty .. so went to Beach Garden in subang mewah .. for drinks ...
That's wat i called satisfaction !!

Ok, my turn...let's see....
Sat lunch was a quick one...wolf down a bowl of 'nga poh yee mee' (my favorite), in about 4 mins. Then had to rush down to Eastin for a friend's wedding rehearsal...got to play the wedding coordinator Too bad the food tasting session was over.
Dinner...attended a friend's full moon baby party. Lots of food like rice, fried mee, grilled lamb, fried chicken, butter prawns, veggies, jelly and fruits. Not to forget ang koo and hard boiled eggs. The catered food was fresh since it was cooked on the spot. The veggie tasted kinda funny though.

Sunday was supposed to try the fondue house steamboat but had Korean food instead. Ate at Korea House...they have either ala carte or bbq. The bbq is a bit pricey, around RM 45 for 1 person portion. Ala carte was more reasonable at RM 18 per set.
Anyway, had the beef in kimchi soup, and mixed vegetable rice with some minced beef. The beef in kimchi soup was simply delicious! The thinly sliced raw beef is put into the boiling kimchi soup. They used the metal bowl which is the same material as the hot plates (sizzling mee). So, the beef was not too cooked, slightly pinkish in color.
On top of that, we were given 14 different kinds of kimchi side dishes, which included cabbage, sliced boiled egg, mushroom, thinly sliced cuttlefish?(not sure) and 2 soups (plain and spicy). After that, we were served slices of watermelon and honeydew. Wooh!!! A very good meal....
And the price? RM36 for 2 persons!! Worth every penny
This place is located on the first floor, and the decor is very nice too.

Dinner was much simpler. Had paprik fried rice at Sec 17 mamak stall, the corner one (Rafi rest...I think). A bit too spicy if u ask me. But the milo shake is really very nice and 'kaw', even though a tad too sweet. Woke up this morning and stomach was burning a little bit due to the paprik...but ok now

I neva really had the chance to try tis Korean food ... Many of my friends recommended me to try it at Sri Hartamas .. seems like it's really good .. !!
I must really find a good weekend to go over for a try ...

Veez, Eastin food is not bad!! U should really go there for their lunch buffet .. clean toilets too ... So dun worry, if u eat halfway then u need to go de-tox urself ...

Yup, there are lots of Korean and Japanese food over there...wonder why??? The one that I went to actually had a real Korean chef

So far, the best sashimi / japanese food in Subang Jaya is at Rakuzen....it is located at the shop lots facing the traffic lights at SJMC.I'm not sure it the shop lots there are called ss15....The place is a little bit pricey..but the sashimi is really great there......So is the Unagi rolls....the tofu salad......the rice dishes....yum yum yum...if it weren't quite pricey, I'd be there almost daily!!!! Try it out!

Yup, have heard so much bout Rakuzen ... but they told me that, Chulan Square there are better than in Subang ... and ambience is much nicer ... Did pass by that place there, looks pretty nice n high class ..

Good morninnnnnnng!

Last Saturday, no lunch for me, had flu, went to sleep right after my half day work! Woke up around 4pm, fried 2 eggs eat with bread. Dinner I had PAN MEE at Good Year Court, nice PAN MEE but I prefer to eat without the minced meat so that is not oily!

Sunday, no breakfast had late lunch at a small Penang stall in 1 Utama New Wing opposite the Giant Supermarket. Ordered Penang Style Chee Cheong Fun, Fried Kuey Teow (all my husband's fav) myself had a banana leaf pack mee siam and 1 piece of kuih (these 2 items from the stall next door).
Did a bit of window shop and after the Chicken Little Movie still feeling full.

Went to Aman Suria Condo's area, along the NKVE where there is a seafood and KFC along the highway, was looking for something special to eat, but ended up at this shop name boabao, a shop selling pan mee....hmmm.....not so nice if compare to Good Year Court!
DON'T GO! not worth it! RM4.20 a bowl. They serve Pan Mee soup and dry. Soup has either traditional cooking, or special. 3 choices with no menu no price list!

Weekend.......hmmm...today is wednesday...looking forward for the coming weekend lor.....and looking forward to go Kluang Station in 1 Utama

I tried the Jap Food in Carrefoure last week. DON...or something like that...can't remember! Not bad, but a bit pricey. More expensive then Genki Sushi (my all time fav) basically each plate 0.90 cents more expensive then Genki!
