My own mind says that the guy got a scolding and let off. They are not going to release the detail of why the initial arrest of course. The know the PM won't be so hard on the son of the IGP. Culture of mediocrity always prevails when things are hard to do here.

Err...I beg your pardon. But the mata mata already lost most of it's credibility and reputation. Ask any joe or jane on the street whether they trust the police or not. You will get the answer.

I am lost here.

I bought my ramadhan stall license (RM250.00) to sell Roti-Moto. Then I realise that people do not eat roti-moto during Ramadhan, so I sold my license for Rm11,000 to the ayam golek chappie.
Have I committed a crime? in profiteering? Isnt' this free enterprise?

HOWEVER, if me, YangAmatBodo Lato Tikus is the approving officer in city hall, is caught selling the Rm250 license to En Ayam Golek for RM11k, then YABodo lato tikus should be charged for ??? (what crime?) Bribery for approval of stall license? Profiteering for city hall's sport club funds? what lah?

maybe thats why the copper's son got away...and YABodo Tikus got snagged? no?

Its odd my Sunday Mail tabloid does not carry this news at all, does yours? my front page is news on the fracas in Johor. There has been some conflicting news on this case, as Star reports the case is not closed and investigations is still going on according to police.

So what is really going on?

i think d thread is taking in too many market talk type of posts. hardly researched, factual, not even speculative. just pure gossip. with d recent public action agst blogs, i wud think somebody's sensitivity is going to catch some eyes. if it was somebody from d hosp i might join in the fray, but then again, not all fos is constitutional freedom, not when d latter may hv multiple interpretations.

I think joker had reminded us of one very important point - that is to substantiate any allegations with factual references. At the very least a hyperlink to a newspaper article (we assume the papers had done their verification before anything gets printed).

I believe joker is refering to some comments made here that fringes on heresay and coffee-shop talk. Which is to say, some of you may be making postulations with no basis. Such action could be enough for sensitive people to challenge us with a threat to shut down the site for delivering khabar angin.

Hence, cool it folks. Be careful - in a public forum, the walls definitely have ears.
