I received a statement from Wawasan about the dividend. According to them, the dividend will be top up to our principal. So we just need to update our pass book at any of their agent of ASNB. The dividend for this year about 7.1%. Cheers.

Hi camy,Errrrmm...what do you mean by "top up to our principle"? Do you meant that we will not receive the cheque this year? Thank you very much for your response. :)

Hi, i had some units of Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020, and i remember the return used to be great, like 10.1% etc. , but i have lost track after a few years.

anyone out there have a record and don't mind sharing?

i know the recent years are not that good. 7.1% and 6.8% if not mistaken?

Regards,

i tried to find back my pass record, in 1997, the interest was 10.1%, re-invested. 1998 was 9.8%, reinvested as well, and later there is a 10.2%. i have lost the record after that, until recent years, which was stated in previous message. anyone could help me with the missing years?

Hi..hello there. Actually I'm newb here.

Ermm, I also have an account with this unit. Actually this unit is opened by my father. He is passed away right now. But after I'm working, I still add the investment. But the prob is, I still did't change the address for mailing purposes. Just at DIS 2006, ASB announced to closed xtvt for acc balancing ur something. I think after that I will get some dividen but until now 9 Jan 2006, I still not get any dividen paid into my passbook. I have update my pass book today. So, my question, usually when the ASW2020 give the dividen to their invester?.

Or Maybe their have some additional condition likes 'pemegang unit' must invest in units more than 10000 unit will get their dividen? i don't know? I'm just guessing. May be some people out their have an answer for me?

TQ.

ASW 2020, sometimes the dividen's are reinvested.
Sometimes they pay you in cheques.
So do update your address accordingly.

Thanks 4 remind me.I just returned from up dating my address. And I also asked the ASW2020 agent about when the dividen usually paid. She tell me, it's done in every 2nd Sept every year. Meaning just after celebrating Merdeka day's.

yes, i notice it is paid on 2nd sept. i am planning to sell it off soon because i think the return is disappointing.

firstly, it is only around 6.x % return, and no gurranttee you can do re-invest...

hello, is it true that ASW2020 has management fees of 1% per annum of our average fund ? that means if the dividend for this trust is 7% for this year, then we only get 6% out of our money ?

what about ASB ? does it has management fees as well ? if so, by how much ?

most unit trust has management fee. in private unit trust company it is factored into the NAV so it is rather transparent to the investor.

i am not sure if ASW2020 has it, but it does not matter to me as long as the return is good, which unfortunately, is not.

the return is not always good/bad for most unit trust. 6.x% is the last year's dividend isn't it ? what about years before ? i'm still new in this unit trust

i went to ASNB office yesterday, and they told me that for fixed price (eg: ASW2020 and ASB), there's no management fees. and for depositing/withdrawing, it is better to be done on the 1st of any month, otherwise you might lo0se days to be counted for the dividends for that month.

Does anyone know where are the funds invested ? The portfolio or something ? Do we receive any annual report or something ? It's like unit trust right ?

How do we check whether the saham is doing well and how did they calculate the percentage of the dividends ? Are we just relying on the governments' guarantee ?
Pardon my ignorance.

If I did not cash out the cheque which sent out by ASW2020 as dividend, are they going to forfeit the cheque?

ASW is a fixed-priced equity funds which means when the economic is good, we could only receive dividend a lot more than fix deposit rate. When the economic is bad, we could still receive dividend but just a little higher than fix deposit rate.

Is it still better to invest in it compared to other funds eg. OSK, Public Mutual and etc ???
I don't understand why so many people rushing to get it ?
I understand they don't sent out cheques anymore but reinvest .
I am a bit uneasy, all that money not given out or withdrawn .
Information about the percentage of dividends given out also not clear.
Does anyone keep track ?
Anyone can give us more detailed info ?

yes you will still get the dividends counted from the days before and until you withdraw your money. please note that the dividend will only be counted if you invest on the 1st of every month and withdraw on the next month ( 1st of the month , or later ).
