Is there such a program. From what I know communication speed is determine by a hardware limit. Unless this limit isn't reach yet ,no amount of software would be able to boost it. Or is there a catch to it....

If you are still on a dialup modem, please check Jaring (if you are a subscriber) becoz Jaring has a paid service which is supposed to boost your access on the Internet.
Normally, I set my dialup modems to run at the max speed. This involves either hardware or software compression technologies to send less over the phone lines thus giving an apparent perception of speed.

There is a tweak for XP Home and above that enables you to obtain extra 20% of your bandwith. Normally, XP reserves 20% of the bandwidth for QoS packet scheduler thingy.
Check this page (http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/showthread.php?t=49466&highlight=20%25+bandwidth) out.
Oh, by the way, there is not such thing as "programs that are able to boost your Internet connection speed".
Cheers :)
