Hi there..I'm planning to make thai curry. But I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the "berry brinjals" or "terung pipit" and the sweet basil leaf. I dont see any of these being sold in carrefour or giant. :( Can someone help?? Thanxs a bunch

Hi, you can get the terung pipit & basil leaves (daun selasih) from SS15's market. The Malay lady who sells them can speak Chinese. She sells all sorts of herbs. But only in recent years, we have a stall in SS15's market that sells daun selasih.

Previously I used to drive all the way to PJ Old Town to get daun selasih. I tried to plan it in my herb garden. But the growth seems to be stunt.

Love to use daun selasih in my paprik sotong. Yum, yum!

Thanxs. I will go and have a look. The malay stall, is it the one with the two malay ladies??? or the one nearer to the stall selling tofu??

The one opposite fish sellers. Not the one nearer to tofu shop.
