I was wondering whether it is allowed to discuss Forum Adminstration in this forum itself.

About

1. Ways to improve it if necessary
2. Suggestions that all forumers could give
3. Complains and resolutions if any
4. New rules that could be added

So, Jeff and Chang,

KPC, as a newbie, I see you have made some people irritated on our Forum. However, this is not the platform to discuss that.

For the record, having just gone through a 'hot' session in http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=9789&page=1&pp=15 I wonder if you have any real rights to question the way we run the Forum?

You are a smart person, this much I can gather. The request for permission is a double edged sword. If I said YES, we open the doors for you to question our actions and thus start another arguement. If I sadi NO, you can turn it around to say we are picking on you. Very clever.

I think the real question is not how we administer the forum but how some people have been acting on the forum.

Many years ago, I had said this before (and so did many other members then) -
When one comes to join a forum, one agrees to the rules and every member is a guest of the Forum owner (I am not the owner). The basic etiquette is to be a good guest. Have you ever been to a party as a guest and then had the urge to tell the host how he/she should conduct the party? I think that is unheard of. We have our rules and our reasons for this Forum. Do take time to read 'about us'. We are more than a simple forum here.

My job is to prevent anyone from trivialising the content or use the forum for ulterior motives. Hence we ban all advertisements on the forum with the exception of some which is of interest or benefit to members of the forum.

I understand some members had in the past disliked the way we run things here and they have left. We wished them well. No hard feelings. We did not force anyone to be our forum members.

kpc, you may have good intentions, but i agree with admin.... I'm happy with the way things are and the rules here, I can live it that....

Yup, i've noticed that some people have left the forum, and I wish them well.... just like some people who are not comfortable with living in a country, they migrate to another country....

I for one agree with Dr George that our Admin is doing a superb job. It' s a no thanks job but KWC (One Eye) has managed to keep the forums from being hijacked many many times. Stop posting stuff that irritates people. I bet you are irritating to your family, friend and colleague that you now turn to us. You join in May 05 and posted and average of 1 posting a day. So much time in your hand eh? You may like to laugh but I for one not impress your posting funny or relevant at all.

From what I can gather from KPC's posts and threads he is lonely guy and is seeking for attention something he trying to achieve from this forum. Maybe something is missing from his life. He's not going anywhere as long as you all respond to him..so its up to you either to hate or love him or ignore him.

Insulting and belittling just cos the majority is up against him will not do any body any good we are not perfect ourselves.
As matter of fact since his arrival he has caused a stir and gained everybody's attention and has made this forum lively, eventhough he might have stepped on some ppl toes or uttered some nonsense. So let it be, give him a chance to find his own way.

As for me, i just read all his posts without prejudice and malice and just have a laugh sometimes. At least give him the credit for keeping the forum active with something, instead of so many registered forumers who dont utter anything at all and some are mere copy cats, follow some leader of the pack and criticise.

This is where you are wrong, KPC. This is called self censorship most of us practise. Sometimes you only notice the 'mistake' after some time. It doesn't mean you are a coward!

Look here dude i write without favour or fear and try my best to be within the parameters of this forum. Who are the 'elders' you are refering to, who the hell are they tell me how to think.
The reason why i deleted it, as it was out of context of the thread which i tot not appropiriate later, but i stand for what i wrote if you still remember. Even this is out of context too and please i dont need anyone's respect, ok.

if i may say this, from my own observations so far, i do find chang to be one very responsible fler who has done an admirable job in administrating this forum to promote camaraderie, as well as in keeping the discussions relevant to the thread topics.

i think he deserves multiple pats in the back for his efforts.

This thread... only 2 pages long but has been very interesting still I do believe it was concluded well by the Administrator who stated

Thank you for the pats on the back. Quite unnecessary, but thanks for the support.

However, this thread is also deviating onto the same track of other threads that I have closed over the past 24 hours. I will need to stop this as well before they come over here for another flamin' session.
