Is there such thing as speed drop of Internet connection in Malaysia during rainy days? :eek: I never heard of this myth before. I thought most Internet connections are based on landlines instead of satellite, GPRS etc.?

Don't try this out. My friend is using this service and he says it s***ks. Speed drop and frequent dc during rainy days. Besides, you wont own your personal IP. You'll based on LAN ip. :eek:

What is the advantage of personal ip versus lan ip :confused:

lan ip.......other ppl cannot direct connect to ur com(ie p2p,games.....),canot host server for world of warcraft(if you read the lowyat forumn,i think you should know this)and i think that should be about it.....i'm not like a pc-know it all anyway

i had some system file in my thumb drive which cannot been format.. sometime can save, sometime cant...desperate on it...anyone can help?

1)Try use the software that comes with your thumb drive to perform the drive format.
2)your drive may have problem, either claim for warranty or get a new one.

I've been using this service for a few months already. The connection is very unstable. Sometimes I'll get very fast download, about 60kBps, and other times, 5kBps which is even slower than dialup.
Customer service is horrible too. I've called them up many times to complain, and they tell me that nobody has complained that the connection is slow. I find that hard to believe. They even told me they'll send over someone to fix my problem, and they would call me to set an appointment, but no one called. I called up to tell them this, and they said they will get someone to call me. No prizes for guessing whether they called.

Pusat Bandar Puchong. The speed right this moment (11pm) is good though, between 45-70kBps.
