Does anyone any brand of broadband dialer that is the preferred choice ?

Not really say prefered. When you sign up for broadband like TMnet, the modem is provided.

Broadband dialer? Do you mean Broadband modem / router etc.? Personally, I think D-link and Linksys are quite good (y)

Normally dialer is needed in 98 or ME only.
