Another successful way to cook brocolli ala-Chinese restaurant! So happy it turned out exactly like how restaurant serve their vegie - tasteful and full of fragrance!! Yum Yum!


Stir Fried Brocolli & Young Corns

Ingredients:

Brocolli
Canned young corns
Carrot, sliced
Young ginger, sliced

Corn flour + water = thickening agent
Sesame oil - a dash
Hua diao cooking wine

Sauce:
Oyster sauce
Water
(Mix all the sauce ingredients)

Method:

1. Heat oil.
2. Add sliced ginger and fry on high heatn until fragrant.
3. Add carrot, corn and brocolli. Fry on high heat quickly for 15 secs.
4, Put in sauce. Continue fry for another 15 secs.
5. Put in corn flour mixture to thicken sauce.
6. Add sesame oil and cooking wine.
Voila!!! Deliciously cooked brocolli!

Tips: All sauces should be mixed and add in quickly. As the vegie is cooked on high heat, one must be quick to avoid overcooking the vegies. With this method of cooking, we can retain the freshness, crunchiness of the vegie, exactly the way Chinese restaurant chef prepares their stir fry vegies.

The wine and sesame oil enhance the fragrance of the dish!
