I have an all-classic manual ASAHI PENTAX SLR and several lenses ranging from standard 50mm, wide-angle and telephoto lenses that require servicing. Would appreciate it if anybody can recommend a reliable camera shop/individual who is providing such services. BTW, my set is not a digicam and it's more than 25yrs old and in good working condition except the moldy lens. Thanks.

Hi fRaNkY,
Thanks for your help...will get in touch with them soon. Incidentally, are you guys into digital photography only? Looks like film-photography has died of a natural death. :(
Probably, have to "tar-pau" or vacuum-packed my "antiques" after servicing them and hopefully keep them for another 20 years. By then I think my grand-children will appreciate them more.
After spending nearly half the price of a new Toyota DX in those days, I now only own a simple PnS 3.2 megapix Canon. Malu only if I were to join your group outing which I read about in the forum. For the time being can only envy you guys who own DSLRs. Sigh! BTW, nice pics in the photo gallery.

Not necessarily tar-pou ur film slr. Many pros r still keeping their passion in film.
It really takes some mastery to use a Manual SLR and that is why many people turn to digital for easier access to photography. :D
Also fyi, I was using a PNS and now only a Prosumer. It doesnt matter what camera you use but rather the enthusiasm we share.
Btw, Jason could be your best bet. Friendly and easy to deal with.

Your "antique" might worth a lot of money!!! in near future... Keep it with some silicon Gel (Dry agent) then check it once a while... maybe one day it will worth thousands! :D
We also do Film Photography. I have 2 canon film slr cameras but use only the light one. I use it to do Black and White. The lenses can be shared with my canon digital slr. So no double investment.
You might not believe it but most of my pictures are taken with P&S, a small sony digital camera. I carry it with me everyday to work and when I go outing with my family. To heavy to carry both DSLR/SLR and kids stuffs :D
Well, you can come to our TT some time... PM me your hp no and I will let u know when... mostly last minutes... no prob. as most of us are in usj/sj anyway.
