hi guys,

anyone knows about setting up webpages, pls. help out.

i have a domain www.abc.com.my, mainly for the e-mails, and want to redirect the webpage to www.abc.it.
when opening the page i still want to leave the www.abc.com.my in the address-bar, so you will clearly see that the page you requested is redirected (guess the jump in address bar will puzzle and confuse people)

now my provider has done that for me and is telling me he cannot leave the address there, as abc.it is not showing any public ip address.
but when i open abc.com i am redirected to abc.it and still see abc.com in the address bar.

is there something i should know??

is that a matter of the software being used, my webpage is powered by helm?

is there any other way to redirect without changing the address bar abc.com.my ??

if it's a webpage redirection, the address in the address bar should always reflect the site you're currently on (otherwise, it'd be a security exploit). So to answer half of your answer, no. It will show www.abc.it if you're doing webpage redirection.

But, if the content is from wwc.abc.it, the address bar will remain www.abc.com.my.

In short, you have your content frame in www.abc.om.my pulling data from the centralised source (www.abc.it).

Example: I have a webhost www.usj.com.my but i'm pulling images/content from www.cnn.com

Erm, I hope this describes it well enough

hmm, so can i pull the abc.it to my abc.com.my instead of redirection ??
do you know how to do it with the helm software then ??
gottat change the redirect-line?? what syntax to use to pull them over ? :D

and how does redirection or pull-over effect my space on the server, is it same?? 0MB or close to 0 ??

erm, I know not how to put it in easier to understand terms.. to go further would be a practical demo.

download the attached index.txt file and rename it to index.html
upload it to your webhost and try it.

If it's a free URL redirection that you want, go try the site below:
