I heard from some who know him personaly that En Mohd Arif is very approachable unlike that stoned face Hakim. If this is true, then it is good riddance to Hakim and a warm welcome to Mohd Arif. I think we better don't waste our time, money and energy organising a farewell to that guy but maybe look into having a warm welcoming teh tarik session with Mohd Arif instead.

I would still prefer the previous MPSJ/MDP President (can't remember his name).

As for the new incoming one, the jury is still out...

That worthless mass of inert protoplasm is gone ............... ??????
Tell me I am not dreaming ........
Someone pinch me quick.
Someone quick flush the toilet .... let not that monster, Hakim, come up again.

Mohd Arif Ab Rahman ????? .................. well time will tell.
Till such time as elections are held for local govt. no one deserves to sit in that seat.
The bleeding hearts among us will say ......
"JG for f***'s sake give the bloke a chance".

Why shd anyone give a chance to a bloke that is thrust upon you.

What happened to the brave, empty statement by Lee Hwa Beng, ( that was heavily publisized by vested interests and spheres / orbs carriers, on this forum ) calling for local elections. ANOTHER FLASH IN THE PAN ???????

What assurance is there that Arif will not morph into another Hakim ????

With a hot potato in SJ2005 ,I think it would be a conflict of interest. On the other hand going to sj2005 is like going to a graveyard. He have to asked himself why is it that usj.com is flourishing and not sj2005? To breath some life into sj2005 he needs to show that he is indeed reachable and not miss the opening opportunity like this by ignoring usj.com. What better ways than to join as a forum member and tap into the vast resources n ideas.

Ahahahaha. Not only hantu ... but some town councillors and politikus as well ... That one sun visor put on backwards mah .... :D

But guess what Lee Hwa Beng actually tried to play one resident off against another. He claimed that the Bandar Sunway Residents' Association (BSRA) agreed to the new location. He cant show proof of such approval having been obtained.
This bloke asked me to get the Committee of the BSRA to write to him to say that they want the project stopped.
Quite a genius this bloke ........ he & MPSJ did not need a letter to start but need one to stop .......

We have to give the new YDP a benefit of doubt and tell him we want to work with him.yes be pleasant and inform him clearly that we are a partner that he should use and work with us. Not one that should sideline or hide away from us.

the community leaders should meet him but also arrange for a meeting with the others in the community as the leaders need the help of the resident to reinforce that we are observing him and his actions. We want a win win situation with him.

Apparently YOUR new MPSJ president Mohd Arif Abdul Rahman was the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSp) president - and not Sepang's DO as eralier reported by Bernama.

His track record:

Mohd Arif began his public service in 1980 as an administration and diplomatic officer before moving on to the Implementation and Co-ordination Unit in the Prime Minister's Department a year later. He was an assistant director then.

In 1991, he was assigned to the State Economic Development Unit (UPEN) as chief assistant secretary in charge of privatisation and squatters.

He then took over as the Finance Ministry principal assistant secretary where he served for seven years before he being transferred to the Selangor Government as principal assistant secretary in charge of human resources, training and scholarships.

His OTHER track record: :D

One of the biggest tasks Mohd Arif faced during his tenure at MPSp was the redevelopment of the Bagan Lalang beach front as part of the Sepang Gold Coast project.

The project has come under fire several times due to concerns over its effects on the environment, especially the mangrove swamps, and the livelihood of the local fishermen.

Err...possibly with this kind of adversary at hands of the JKPs...councillors...ADUNs...& even the MPs...Orchi ain't a bit surprise to see...should 1 or 2 of these so called rakyats' representations...starts thinking about packing up n moving out of town...very soon?

They could stand NO chance...up against such rivalry...?

Ahem...hal kuching kurap mungkin boleh...tapi pada hal penting n besar?...tak mungkin jadi lar...

For sure not many people can top the other Yang Arif's ( Hakim ) stupidity and obstinacy ..... remember he not able to spare time for 6 months to meet community leaders ?

Yes let's give this Yang Arif a chance.

We need to let him know that he serves us not the other way around tho.

This is not arrogance .... this is the wounds of many past battles with past YDPs talking.

For what it is worth WELCOME EN MOHD ARIF.

Wow, news travels fast .. :D

Well, lets look forward now and not dwell on talking bad about this guy. That's just water under the bridge. We need to show the new guy that those living under the MPSJ banner are really in tune towards making this a better place to live.

Quality of life, thats key, right?

On his new role, Mohd Arif acknowledged that it was a privilege to be selected to sit on one of the hot municipality seats in the country. The Subang Jaya Municipal Council, he added, often served as a benchmark for other municipalities.

“Having lived in USJ3 for the past decade has helped me open my eyes to the problems in Subang Jaya, like traffic congestion, stalled construction projects, crime and the setbacks of tremendous growth,” he said.

“My aspirations for Subang Jaya include adding and upgrading recreational facilities like installing park lights equipped with timers so residents who work late can still exercise and socialise while youths benefit from more activities,” said Mohd Arif, a father of six children.

He said abandoned residential and commercial projects that were fast becoming eyesores would be used to aid the community in various aspects.

Err...YB Mohd Arif...going on record...seems to have good visions for his new endeavor...in MPSJ... :)

Having a YDP that is a resident is great. JKP in that zone better start working hard and also have a rep from USJ3. ;) The man is from there mah..so his area needs to be taken care of.
