Special briefing on Selangor Structural Plan by Derek Fernandez this SUN 31 July
at 3pm
This invitation is targeted to residents who want to know the implication of the
Selangr Plan and what are their rights to object.
Time and date: 3.00pm, SUNDAY 31st July 2005
Venue: Function Room (opposite the cafetaria)
Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) New Wing
Speaker: Mr Derek Fenandez, a lawyer
Derek Fenandez, a lawyer who is very well versed in Agenda 21 and also the
workings of the Local Authorities has kindly agreed to assist us to understand
the Plan, its implication on us and also to brief us on our rights to object.
This session is also very useful for those who will not be able to attend the
session on Wednesday 3 August being a working day. These two sessions will be
conducted differently. This Sunday one is totally non governmental which means
you get to see beyond the woods whereas the one on Wednesday being conducted by
the very people who drafted the Plan could be a "PR" in nature but I can also
see that the two sessions can complement each other. You can seek further
clarification from the Selangor Planning Dept as they are the architect of the
Selangor Plan. But please bear in mind that this Sunday session is NOT a
complaint platform for us to take your objections. SJMC is kind enough to let us
use its premise and therefore we have to respect the ve!
nue as a neutral ground and NOT a venue to "hantam" the government.
Please call PC Yeoh, USJ Residents' Association at 012-2995330 if you need more
details.
