The ADUN for Subang Jaya Dato Lee Hwa Beng organised a briefing on the status of the NPE. It was held at the Subang Jaya Polis Station on Tuesday morning 19 July 2005. Members of the media and and relevant JKPs were invited to attend.

Mr Ooi from NPE gave a short brief on the status of the NPE, viz-a-viz the section between Psn Kemajuan and Tujuan. He explained that progress on this section was making good progress and that the Kewajipan Interchange with the overpass heading to KL from the 3K Complex should be completed by early Oct. Once this section is completed, MPSJ will consider closing off the current U-turn at the 3K Complex. Vehicles currently executing a U-turn will then have to approach the semi-roundabout at Metro College to do a U-Turn back.

The section between Kewajipan and Tujuan should be completed by Oct/Nov 2005.

The Tujuan Interchange should be ready by Nov/Dec 2005, whilst the rest of the construction at SS19 should be completed by March 2006.

And as a matter of interest, the Meeting was told that the PJ Jln Templer/NPE Interchange should be ready by March 06. That should more or less complete the jig-saw for the NPE, other than the current bottle neck at the Jln Maarof end of the NPE. This section is under the jurisdiction of KL City Hall and the matter is being pursued further by the relevant parties.

Excellent, but the Tujuan interchange is meant for vehicles from Fed HW to enter NPE, not the other way around, true?

Now u see it.. It's only to increase the traffic volume to NPE not for the benifit of the Subang Jaya residents. :(

It's also for traffic heading towards Shah Alam exiting from NPE.

So basically nothing changes for vehicles entering Federal Highway KL-bound? The traffic lights will still be there...

yes - i too would like to know what the plan is for traffic from USJ / SJ heading out towards the fed highway and vice versa. It appears to me that all the NPE folk want to do is give priority to traffic proceeding from the fed highway to the NPE and vice versa.

you left out from USJ and the Putra Heights and other surrounding to pass thru to access the NPE. Making USJ and SJ into one big interchange.
