There's no need for fine dining for that matter just home cooking by the partner should be enough to impress him/her ;)

Shangri-La Lafite would be good. Very expensive, very limited space, very unlikely to be caught by your other partners. :D

I think Arwen have a point here... Well, to make your hunt more easier, you may wanna find out his/her (impressee) favorite cuisine. Then only you can decide... :)

If she's into Italian cuisine and budget is not a problem, maybe you want to take her Villa Danieli, Sheraton Imperial, KL. Its by the pool and the decor is a distinct Italian country-style and it really create a romantic ambience.

Can try Restoran berputar Seri Angkasa at KL tower, they have international buffet dinner all the time, a la carte is expensive but buffet is reasonably priced at RM88 per person, considering the ambience, definately worth going.

Overall, the food is just average but if it's for the ambience, then it's fine. As far as I know, the price for the buffet has gone down...it should be less than RM80??

i personally love tamarind hill, especially for the ambience. villa danielli not bad oso. i think la fite is over rated.

if i want a place to impress, yet not lose touch of who i am and what i like, i'd take the person to bulldog which is an english pub in hartamas. they serve fan-freakin-tastic english breakfast all day long and the bread pudding... AWESOME!!

my husband and i just drool at the mention of that place.

1) Bintang Restaurant (http://www.fhihotels.com/member/promotion/promotion.asp?hotel=TF) at Federal Hotel KL, much better than Menara KL
2) Luna Bar (http://www.faces.com.my/articles/thecrawl.asp?issue_id=54&id=376) at Jalan P Ramlee, restaurant at high rise building rooftop
3) Modestos (http://www.modestos.com.my) at Sri Hartmas, quite & authentic Italian (IMO better than Italiannies 1U).
4) Bon Ton (http://www.bontonkl.com/html/home.htm) at Jalan Ceylon
