Does anyone know movie rental place in Taipan other than Video-Ezy. I'm also looking for chinese movie rentals.

Any good place to purchase DVDs in Taipan/USJ area would also be helpful.
We could also discuss other areas within PJ.

My choice is Summit...there's a shop which is I normally frequent. Buy 5 get 1 one free. Owner is friendly & easy going fella. Any bad quality discs or if don like the show, can always return with no questions asked... ;)

Okay summit is not too far...although I wish there was something around taipan...just because of its conveniece...5 minutes away, rather than summit, traffic and parking fee...etc

Rachel/mmc, what is the name of the shop? Are they original DVDs, and what are they priced? I was told that DVDs here are manufactured locally.

Some time ago, I bought some original DVDs for a friend of mine, from 1 utama, and comapred to the one that I had from US, there seems to be a huge difference in A/V quality ;-(( I was just lost of words when I discovered that! although it bares the "tulen" sign!

Like the discussion we had about vehicles, DVDs here are expensive too...

summit 3rd floor, escalator at starbucks end, the shop just to the right of the escalator, seller is a middle age man with white short hair.

but i think all dvds at summit are of the same quality, probably they got them from the same 'supplier'. and their prices are 'standardised', 1 for RM10, 5 free 1, used to have the RM20 for 3 deal but not anymore, :(

new movies are generally not clear, if you can wait, later ' batch' of the dvds will be of good quality.

Unker Ho's? Hehehehehe... :D
A couple of months ago, I was in Penang and got a bargain from those stalls that lined the streets in Batu Ferrenghi. It's RM7 each on condition I buy 7. Then, I get another one for free. However, it's a discreet bargaining 'cos the sellers there have a pact not to sell that low.

Malaysian tulen with stamp? Hah!!!
Similar tagline as with Proton Sawi being TUV certified.
