Police will ensure Taman Tun is safe area

WE refer to a letter by Umit Tanit, Commercial Counsellor, Turkish Embassy in Kuala Lumpur (The Star,July 4 We sympathise with Tanitís ordeal and predicament and are doubling our efforts to nab the culprits and bring them to justice. Taman Tun is a safe area and the writer should not be traumatised by the incident.

We are not denying the fact that crimes are committed there but they are not rampant enough for the area to be classified unsafe.

We have 24-hour mobile patrol vehicle patrolling Taman Tun, policemen patrolling on motorcycles and we carry out operations to weed out potential criminals.

The police are always committed to maintaining the peace and safety of the people.

MOHD DZURAIDI IBRAHIM,
OCPD Brickfields,
Kuala Lumpur

So, Taman Tun will get special attention from police since Commercial Counsellor from Turkish Embassy encounter with snatch thief?

How about Subang Jaya?

How abt the rest of M'sia seems more like it ?! Sometimes, I feel the police are too busy with other petty issues......Pls don't get me wrong, but I feel they're not consistent with patrolling especially....now that something has happened to a dignitary, theye're reassuring us of our safety. It'll all be back to normal in a week or two.

'Ensure' = 'make sure'. That's a big word. They have to demonstrate how, otherwise it's clear they don't mean it.
