MPSJ controls subangjaya ,usj & puchong area, right.
there cant be any stall side road in mpsj area like burger stall , selling the duck stall/carbooth but we can still c them very near to mpsj. Let say u renovate ur house without a CF wat action r taken by MPSJ do they come or not also when u renovate how many ppl give these officer bribe in order to get a job done. Recently MPSJ launch the neighbour watch some of the MPSJ officer on bike rounding over our housing area i saw them once now they went missing. We should not ecourage this habbit of bribery MPSJ should be alert of the high bribery rate in their department. Once i ask a burger stall owner dont these mpsj ppl disturb him he said he has to pay them in order to keep his stall. There r many other cases related to mpsj staff taking bribery.

BRAVO, my advice to you if you have such information about MPSJ officers taking bribes, the proper channel is for you to report them to the Anti Corruption Agency. For your information, MPSJ does issue small business licences to roadside stalls eg nasi lemak to enhance these small traders' income. The big players gets APs. But that is another story. And if you know of any illegal renovations, please go to MPSJ office in USJ 5 and report them to the enforcement unit and let them do the job. Coming here and making such sweeping statement is not a proper thing to do. Yes, everyone knows that. Even Pak Lah admitted that the local authority is the second government department that are opened to bribery by the general public. I don't remember the first. The question it posed is how they managed them. You are also wrong to say that MPSJ launched the neigbourhood watch with some of the MPSJ officer on bike rounding the housing area. Please get your facts right by seeking clarification from them at 03-80263131.

For once you are right when you say we should not encourage this bad habit of bribery and should alert their department. But it looks like you yourself are not doing so, are you?? If you are, then it is good of you. Or else expect some delivery of banana to you when the One Eye Guy sees your posting here. God bless you

I tend to believe there is some vendetta going on between the two parties involved. At one time not too long ago, there were some vans with many personnel in survellience mode every night for a period.

I was told that they have to act this way based on numerous complaints made by both the residents nearby and the clinic next door. They are rather unfair to place their tables in such a way blocking the road completely and thus prevent the patients from seeing their doctors. It is just impossible for the clinic to operate after 7 or 8pm though it closes at 10.00pm. As for the poor residents living nearby, some of them never get a peaceful sleep. The din created by these 2 teh tarik shops and the neighbouring stalls is enough to drive a light sleeper crazy. Numerous saman have been given (one of them showed me 26 altogether at RM 500.00 each) and yet they couldn't be bothered. There is an on going court case. Thus the only way to strictly make them toe the line is to do this way. This is the face off they have to bear with. I heard one of them is giving up already.

Reasoning being right, I'd guess I'll support the authorities for the enforcement.
It shows the shop has absolutely disregard for maintaning the peace in a residential area and affecting neigbouring businesses. Possibly they think its "bapak punya tempat"!. Anyway, I've witnessed many similar shops drag in the tables the moment they spot enforcement personell approaching. At least they know not to tangle with the law.

In Jalan USJ4/6G, one house is a kitchen for the Casablanca Restaurant with all the gas tanks stacked all over the place. About 15 people stay in there with about 6-7 cars and vans. There is an ongoing mahjong table going 24/7 and yet MPSJ has not taken a single action despite so many complaints.

I'll support enforcement as well. But..but...the enforcement must be seen to be fair for all. It doesn't seems to be at the moment. Need not elaborate here. You know it I know it. Time is on their side . They can taunt you until you give up.
As someone put it bluntly on bribes... It takes 2 to tango...but we have line dance here...
Hard to survived the line dance here lor....

A fact can be substantiated with some form of record or documentation. Otherwise it is NOT a fact. In a court of law, what you have is heresay and circumstantial evidence.

We have always reminded our forum members to provide substantiated references. Hyperlink it to a newspaper report for example. That at least is a record of the "fact" because the journalist and editor verifies the material before publication. What you have done is not verified.

We have a mission here. USJ dot com was created with one hope - to educate all users to good practices in the cyber world. Since the www is such a great place for faceless people to say whatever they want, we are trying to teach readers how to filter the junk. Never take anything as truth unless you are satisfied with the evidence. This in the end goes a long way to make each and everyone of us a cyber-citizen.

Yes, you will need to be a banana for a while for not practicing good practices. Posting heresay without substantiation is tantamount to rumour mongering.

Furthermore, if there was an MPSJ staff taking bribes, would it be correct to say MPSJ takes bribes? Your title of this post have slandered the town council by implying that the whole organisation is implicated. Not so my friend. Did you see how you have generalised and thus slandered good people in the wake? For the second offence, I think you need to work in the plantation for a bit longer...

...I think you need to work in the plantation for a bit longer...

... taking the idea from the movie Forest Gump, was just wondering how many ways are there to eat a banana.... let me start some here...

raw but ripe (straight...no cooking)
pisang goreng
jemput jemput (i think that's the name, its mashed bananas mixed with flour and deep fried)

I saw a truckload of MPSJ enforcement officers stopping by Sri Tanjung in USJ9 too. They went in to meet the boss and after that left, without doing anything about the chairs and tables being placed at the parking lot!!!! Don't know la whether any bribery took place.....but all of us who saw what happened just gave a knowingly smile to one another......anyone want to make a guess about the reason for the smile???

SMILE, no proof, no saying. understand that is ok enough, lazy to find out coz it's normal to see that. not amazed, not surprised, not outstanding either.

juz :o =)

erm... bribery is 2 sided, offer & accept, if both happens, it is corruption... able to prove it = legal law, not able to prove it = diam diam lor

There's always a scenario where the corruption is hierarchical order where it comes from top to bottom. erm.. in this case, cant do anything.

(nah, dun flame me, im not saying mpsj must have corruption goin on, bottom line is, saying that contacting the right organisation is crucial)

There are several hawker type restaurants in both sides of the road near Pyramid, i.e. Mentari and PBB side. Can someone provide some enlightenment why on one side, they are allow to put tables all over the road, including parking lots whereas on the other side, the hawkers are so law abiding that they leave the parking lots to the patrons?

Are they are different jurisdictions or are there different bylaws? Am I missing something here?

These ppl dont mind flouting the laws to make fast money as long there are ppl patronising them and what more when they can get away by tempting some corrupted officials..Its still worth it on the long run break some laws and to commit crimes. We all know who these "ppl"are..Its a cluture they have encouraged and these are the same sort of ppl who denounce corruption

You are right! On the Mentari side, it is under MPPJ jurisdiction and the MPPJ enforcement officers & their trucks are there on many nights of the week until late night, to ensure the hawkers do not put their stalls and tables onto the road.

Now the Pyramid/PBB side, ermm.. I think the parking coupon system is MPSJ (50 sen per hour) if I remember correctly, so it is MPSJ jurisdiction, right? They have always place all their tables on the parking lot with no troubles from the authority at all. btw, the Sunway police beat base is just in front of PBB too, hmm.....

I was under the impression that they are under the same jurisdiction, both under MPSJ except that one area, enforcement is very tight and the other, lax. Maybe it is the feng shui. :)

Nope, Mentari Business Park in PJS 10 is definitely under MPPJ.

I've seen those MPPJ trucks with numerous officers sitting there staring at the coffee shop a lot of times, so the hawkers dare not put their tables there, very strict enforcement. It's gone on for months, even years. But, when MPPJ boys and girls are gone or on public holidays, the coffee shop will be bustling with tables all over the parking lot again. :D :D

So, looking across the street, are there any MPSJ enforcement efforts at coffee shops next to Public Bank in PJS9? ......
