Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman announced yesterday that former Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Osu Sukam, who faces a RM7.1 million gambling debts overseas, has resigned as chief of Papar UMNO division, and he regards the matter as “closed, once and for all.

"As I {Lim Kit Sang}said in Parliament yesterday, it is a matter of great public interest to ascertain how the national integrity system had failed to prevent corruption and abuses of power as evident in Osu’s case - how a former Sabah Chief Minister and Federal Minister for Land and Co-operatives could amassed such astronomical wealth as to gamble RM158.7 million, lose RM31.6 million and run up RM7.1 million debts in a London casino a year after political retirement, apart from bigger gambling debts in other casinos
ACA is a mere “toothless tiger” if it cannot investigate as to whether Osu Sukam, former Sabah Chief Minister and Federal Minister for Land and Co-operatives had corruptly amassed such astronomical wealth ".

Questions Yes, exactly how the heck did he really amassed so much of wealth during his tenure of office to pay up his gambling obsession given the fact his pay was RM24000 per month while he was the MB, he woudnt have earned RM1 million for his two terms office ? We surely know how!!!!! suerly not inheritance!!.
This is a clear indication why Politicians perceive political posts as "Gold Mines'

Malaysia as been claimed as Islamic State then why is this gambler {UMNO member} not being arrested by Shyriah Court ?..We only hear of many kalhwat cases...this is a mockery of our laws, double standards and selectively being applied.

Cheers

Is the Datukship taken away yet? For the amount of fortune he amessed over the short stinct as the CM., I think this is record breaking. He should be given a Tun like the ex-MCA boss.

People like this are genius, why should we panalise them? Can u do the same?

again, we malaysian have to be saddled with these type of news. a muslim gambles away a fortune which he amassed thru "unclean" ways but his punishment is only to resigned from being an umno branch head. oh! pleeeease...................

why ACA not checking his a/c as to where he got the money?
why "muslim" police not charging him for gambling?

can you imagine the two poor fellows in east coast having to be rotan and jailed for having a beer that they paid for with their own money! what a joke.

Remember also the case where 11 people in Malacca went to jail for having sex with underaged girl (legally a statutory rape) while the guy who was the chief culprit got away scott free? I remember Lim Guan Eng went to jail for helping the grandma of the teenage girl. :o

Let us see what Abdullah Ahmad Badawi do in this case... I am not surprised I am quite calm about this because I know nothing is going to happen. :o

They cannot take it away. He has not been found guilty of anything as the judge Ian Chin threw the claim by the London Casino out the front door. Neither has he been charged of anything in court. So, it shall remain as Yang Berhormat Datuk as and when you bump into him at the entrance to Ritz or Caesar's Palace or Mann or Burswood or Genting or any of the glitzy casinos around the world.... :D :D :D

HI

Lin Kit Siang irritated many Barisan backbenchers when he kept insisting that Malaysia was a secular state and told Umno and Pas to stop competing to show who was more Islamic.

Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN - Jerai) then questioned why Kit Siang could not accept that definition of Malaysia as it was even accepted by Muslim countries. He even told Kit Siang to leave the country if he could not accept the term.

Wow!! we have some buffons in parliment who are bent to cover up their 'corrupted' party members. Now we know why there are no live coverage of parilment sittings!!

Hope the Media will go all out and investigate to find out how this MB amassed so much of wealth to gamble away while in office . Where is the ACA...and Pak lah and his fight against graft.

Genting would have loved to have this son of a gun playing there :D Keeping the money in the country, may be my share will go up?

Anyway, politikus like this serves as eye-opener to the many simple "kampung" folks who are always poor and always worship anyone that comes with the almighty "Dato" tiltle.

Now we know, not everyone that comes in a songkok and baju Melayu are "pejuang bangsa bedarah wira yang besedia mandi darah demi this and that...", in short, not a saint laa, but just another politikus who is out to exploit the simple folks....play sentiment and sing along the racial divide. We have a famous son in Selangor who is like that, don't we? Some one has a tooth ache?

Hallo... you gotta to be kidding here... no way we can have live coverage on Parliament... Even Phua Chu Kang oso will be sidelined... :D I mean, having Parliament on Live television would probably cause them YBs to lose votes come the next GE.... :p
