Hello everyone!!

Blogathon 2005 is here! and I am participating it. The event is set on the 6th August 2005. My chosen NGO as beneficiary is EDEN HANDICAP SERVICE CENTER in Penang.

Abiding with Blogathon's regulations, I will be making 1 blog post every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. Sponsors pledge ANY AMOUNT they wish for every blog post I make during the race. At the end of the race, blogathon.org will send an email to sponsors telling them about the total post their sponsoring blog made and the total amount that they should donate. So if you pledge RM1 per blogpost, you will have to donate RM48 to Eden Handicap Service Center. As a courtesy to my friends who are not working, I will be making the minimum amount of post and that is 48 so those who are tight in the pocket may plan their budget accordingly.

The organiser, Blogathon.org, will manage and monitor the event. They do not handle the donations and sponsors will send their donations DRECTLY to the NGO so rest assured that this event is definitely LEGIT.

Hello friends

I've got great news! 6th August is drawing near and the Blogathon
fever is hiking! The organisers are buzzing around preparing for this
big event that only comes by once in every two years. A team of
monitors and translators have been set up to keep track of the race
while a new coder is hired to work in the back-end.

On my side, John Ling has decided to team up with me for the race. To
those who are new to this name, John Ling is a young Malaysian author
who already has a few books to his name. With John's kind assistance,
our participation in Blogathon will be much more exciting!

John Ling, will be blogging about his adventures to getting published.
At the ripe age of 21, John certainly has one heck of a lifetime to
blog about. This is a golden opportunity for aspiring writers to
understand more about the literary world and what it takes to pursue a
writing career. Besides, there aren't many authors out there who blogs
so this is an invaluable chance to tap into an author's blogging state
of mind! And do note that 48 posts in 24 hours straight is a
challenging task.

Ladies and Gentlemen! Blogathon registration is fully up! There is a slight change of plan. Now, sponsors pledge a lump-sum amount and no more hourly pledges. This saves confusion for the sponsors. Alright.. so how to sign-up?

* Visit http://www.blogathon.org
* On the left menu bar, click on SIGN UP
* Under the username/password fields, click on the word “register”
* Fill up the form with your Desired user name, Email address, Name, Password, and Confirm password.
* Click SUBMIT
* Login with your chosen username and password
* Under Active Campaigns, click on YVONNE FOONG
* pledge the amount that you wish to donate.
* You’re done!

Simple isn’t it? Now be sure to keep an eye on www.yvonnefoong.com on August 6th, beginning at 9pm Malaysian time. This will be very exciting especially for aspiring writers out there!
