Hello mitmivec, :)
Why did you ask? Any particular reason, or any concern?

don't u know that there is no such thing as a road design over here ? I mean, if the road curve left, normally you will find that the right side will be slightly higher thanthe left (banking), but here, it is opposite - that is if the road curve left, the left side is higher than the right side. - so you overturn your car easier!!!

There has got to be a design. No work can start without a design - that's for sure.

Why no body knows the design, how it looks like - is obvious. The developers are keeping mum...

Here are some of the pics I took the other day.

Section of the flyover from Kewajipan turning into Jalan Utama to Sunway.

The landing section at Jalan Utama leading towards Sunway...

This section at J. Utama in front of SS19 towards P. Tujuan onward to Fed. H/way

And this Tujuan - SS19 - Fed H/way arterial road needing upgrade to Highway status due to the volume of traffic it is carrying daily.

SS17?? Oh that one....

It's suppose to be a flyover from the NPE over the existing roundabout. The road will then join Persiaran Tujuaan and empty into the Federal Highway. Under the Flyover will be a diamond traffic lights system. That's all I know. :(

As for solving the traffic problems.... forget it. It gonna be worst.

Firefly,

Can something be done at the junction of SS19/4, 19/2 and Tujuan, before the traffic lights to SS17? If someone is turning into 19/4 from Tujuan, they run the risk of being hit by cars that don't stop at the 19/2 stretch. These idiots aren't bothered at all that there are stop signs indicating so.

Believe a lot of things can be done, but not without the support of the residents...

Let's brainstorm here a bit on how we can get organised.
How about the USJRA? Any comments or suggestions ?

i think in future the traffic light ss19 prob is lessened by at least 2 sides, shud be better (anything to dissipate kesas/puchong traffic out to FH fast is ideal)

As a committee member of the USJ Residents' Association, I will bring this up with the Resident Association as one project that the RA can spearhead. This problem is a macro problem and as such I don't expect any localised Neighbourhood Watch would like to take up. We hope that the residents themselves will participate actively in this brainstorming.

Hi PCY,
This might be a feasible idea... which might go a long way.
I think there needs to be a platform where residents here can put up and actively debate on issues affecting the community here. And, have the RA work on it big time... But then, the USJRA - does it include SJ and Putra Heights?

Perhaps we can discuss/debate it on the thread here (http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/showthread.php?t=8036).
Thanks PC, for supporting this effort. What say you, the residents ??

hmmm i guess as at today the traffic will be wrost than it will be when its completed... now there are only 2 lane out to federal highway and 2 lane in from federal high way, where it use to be 3 lane in from federal highway infront of shell station at ss19.... seem like the only improve the traffic to NPE without taking the consideration of the excisting road design....

Yup....us Subang-ites are screwed...again! This whole thing only benefits the NPE users.

Actually how many NPE users are there? Their toll gates are pretty empty even during peak hours.

NPE benefitted mostly motorists who go from SS19 or Summit to LDP and vice versa. During peak hours there's massive jam at LDP, beginning b4 Sunway Pyramid(KL bound), thanks to Kewajipan ramp the traffic from Summit cleared quickly and pile up at LDP LOL! There's some congestion at Jenka roundabout (Subang bound), and jam at Jln Tujuan junction. Obviously NPE is not getting the returns they expected, yet!

Look at what is happening. You come out of USJ along Persiaran Tujuaan, you are on a 3 lane road..... Then you pass the SS19/6 junction traffic lights, which by the way is gonna be a big huge bottle neck, and you reach the "underpass". At this point, you have only 2 lanes leading you to the Federal Highway. The other 1.5 ~ 2 lanes ( don't know if it's 2 lanes or not) is into the "underpass" leading you into NPE.

In the pass, before all this construction, there have never been a traffic jam going out as it was a 3 lane straight thru to the Federal Highway. The JAM has always been a backflow from the Jam along Federal Highway.

Now looking at the current construction, there is only 2 lanes from the "underpass" all the way to the landing of the overpass. Also at the landing there is also and EXIT for Jalan SS19/1. So it's a junction asking for trouble.

I was there at 7.30pm yesterday opps Sunway Pyramid heading towards the traffic light on my way back to Puchong........it's bottleneck jam and i start to wonder whether any good this npe being providing to us motorists........funny lar......last time no npe oso jam.......now again jam...... ....can't they widen the road toward the X-junction traffic light........alwiz from 4/5 lane of cars squeezing into the two lane.........no wonder everyday oso jam.......even the road headng towards usj from Jengka roundabout until BP Jalan Kewajipan........yesterday long queue lor........what kind of planning is this........how to improve the traffic condition......build another flyover!!???.......

been looking for the design but cant find ... anyone have any idea?

I remember "The Star" printed out the layout of the NPE, when the SS19 residents protested against the construction of underpass in front of their houses a long, long time ago. The protest failed, because lack of support from the residents in Subang Jaya & USJ.

Persiaran Tujuan should be renamed Persiaran 321......3 lanes before SS19.......2 lanes after SS19.......1 lane before the underpass exiting to Federal Highway.

When you reach there, please execise right car go first, follow by the left car, follow by the right car, follow by the left car pattern, it is much faster to move. Jangan kiasu.

The contractor should free the road from barriers, if they are not using the road space.

What is our YB and MPSJ doing to correct the situation?

Please don't put up signs saying "Harap maaf atas segala kesulitan, projek ini adalah untuk kemudahan masa depan anda".

The signs should say "Harap maaf atas segala kesulitan, segala kos dari segi masa, petrol/diesel, tekanan jiwa, kos membaiki kereta, jikalau berlaku kemalangan ditangguh oleh pengguna jalanraya Persiaran Tujuan"
