If you havent seen the currency in circulation after the Japanese over-run Malaya during the Second World War,
this is it!! For your viewing pleasure by popular request from Orchi! I have kept them in mint condition...hoping to strike it rich one day from a collector!! ;-)

Err...Patrick:)...thanks for posting the image of the Japanese Occupation Notes in 100 dollar denomination...ahem...back then...for each 100 dollar note...one could buy 1 single EGG!

Ahem...but now...IF one tries to use this currency note again to make a purchase...?...the egg would probably be thrown at his face instead...:D

Err...there were those in 1 n 10 dollars denomination...n were known as 'bananas money' coz they had graphics of bananas n bananas trees printed on them notes...graphics such as other tropical fruits...were also printed on them...

Imagine holding 1000 Japanese banana dollars...one could only buy a kati of pork!

At the end of the occupancy...all hell broke loose...when these so called bananas notes became worthless...!

Err...people went bananas over money... (http://ourstory.asia1.com.sg/neatstuff/tanss/ssbanana.html) :D
