Over the weekend, my mobile got diverted to someone's house for some strange reason, when I didnt activate the divert function. When I called Digi, the customer service say they dun know what happened and also, I subsequently found out that they cancelled my voice mail service without my permission.

I am writing to them but I would like the letter to be going to the correct person. How?

That's strange. Have you checked your bills to see if they have not been cloned. BTW, did you send your phone for service anywhere, and left the chip card in there, even for a while. I was shown a device recently where they could clone your card in under 5 seconds, and may proceed to write the info on blank cards to their hearts content.

Aiyoo.... that if it true !!... so much for Smart IC aka MyKAD !!

I have seen the clone SIMM card equipment while working in China. In fact, one can order it online, according to the friend who showed it to me.

Mac, the thing is, I have not sent my phone for any servicing at all. The bills isnt out until the 1st July for this month's calls and I checked last month's bills, there was nothing unusual.

Is something going on in DiGi?

Last year I bought a prepaid card for my wife use. I registered the number under my name. All these while my wife uses this number.
Just the other day, some marketing people called her mobile asking for me. They verify my full name and try to sell me something.
I was so surprised that I don't know what to say.

I have a hunch that Digi could be selling their database to telemarketing firms for extra income. I oso got a call and this fella said my name is selected from a database... when I ask which database, he said that the database was confidential  confidential my foot! I main that fella 25 minutes then I told him why I kept him on line for 20+ minutes.... he "fedup!" and hanged up.... kihkihkih! ....

The bluddy irony isn't it.... he got the cheek to say confidential, by the way - he was from some Cuti Cuti Malaysia outfit... selling membership to/for local holidays...

Digi seemed to be having lot of problems. Last night, when I went home, I couldn't get network at all for the entire night. When I called them this morning, they say the line is congested, which i suppose very rarely happens on a weekday/non-festive season.

Mystical ... this is very odd you know. You should get to the bottom of this.

In my many travels to our southern neighbour, I've seen a flash card reader that can read handphone sim card..... and if it can read, I'm pretty sure it can also write ;)

Don't just blame the operators, all the time when you filled up forms and disclosed all your personal details...the particulars were collated by enterprising business people and sold to the companies for RM1 to RM 1.50. It is very easy for these marketeers to say whatever their databases are from. Watch out next time, you give out your personal details, even government departments.

Hey how come macgyver can run out of something to say. The macgyver I know is so innovative and all the time managed to get out of sticky situations. Even I myself is also confused.

checking the services on paper they have beaten maxis by miles allready, esp. checked for wireless internet services.
but is the truth the same ?? on my maxis cannot get net inside my house, unless upstairs ???... friend with his digi can talk downstairs as well...

as i am maxis user since years, considering a change now, any experiences with digi are highly appreciated.

When I fill up those things, I list down my own phone number, not my wife's number. That number is used by her from day one. :(

Mac, it has been 72 hours since the incident and they had not gotten back to me. My calls had been futile and there just dont seem to be a conclusion to it.

Digi is cheaper comparitive to others but it depends on the area, the coverage can be pretty bad in some areas. :D

DiGi gave me another headache last night. They had problems with their voice mail system and told me that sometimes i need to access it a few times to hear my voice mail but I am liable for the charges. Can u beat that?

i have checked on wireless internet, and they (say to) cover all malaysia from jb all the way up north, maxis covers certain areas in p.j. only

I've been a Digi user for three years and it has been quite kind to me. Except once in a while, my credits expire one or two days earlier than supposed. But other than that, it has been fine.
