I went to the neighbourhood watch website www.nwatch.net.my and chanced upon this piece of news which I have reproduced below as this is of great interest to the community who have wanted the newly created IPD Subang Jaya to be located at the 5 acre site next to the USJ 8 police station. Now that a decision is being made (just read below for the source - MPSJ ???) to locate it in Puchong, the IPD name have to be changed accordingly. Will someone who can shed some light confirm whether this piece of news is reliable or not. Until it comes from the PDRM spokesman, I still have hope that it will be located at USJ 8. But what if the news is true, what is then our stand on the food court issue at USJ 8? Is it still relevant?

posted by Mr Lee Thong Keng

Eventhough we hv actively lobby so hard since last yr to hv it in Subang Jaya, but sad to know that it had now been approved to be located in Puchong by MPSJ during their recent council meeting held this month, 2 weeks ago.

The new IPD ( soon will be name as IPD-Puchong ) will be build @ a piece of 8 acres vaccant land located in BK 5, Kinrara, Puchong to be implemented during this coming 9 Malaysian Plan. It consist of 1 unit of magistrate court, a house of detention plus Police-Quarter.

The jurisdiction areas under this new IPD are Subang Jaya, USJ, Bandar Sunway, Putra Height, Kinrara, Puchong, Seri Kembangan & Serdang. The OCPD is ACP Muhammad Fuad Talib, Tel :03-89484822.

I like this actively lobbied part. wasn't this zone last to send in a letter against the food court.

why the issue of whether it is relevant or not. Like I mention b4 in a different thread, police station is what we must have. a IPD is nice to have.anyone disagrees? so if IPD is in puchong, we don't need a police station in usj 8? Sure we need one.so our fight is not wasted yet and lets not get distracted. We still want to have and must have a police station in usj 8 regardless of whether the IPD is build in puchong. SO Is it still relevant?you make up your mind. ;) ;)

This matter ( New IPD-Puchong ) did discussed & accepted in MPSJ sub-committee meeting held 2 week ago.Gerakan MPSJ councillor & Gerakan MP-Puchong also made their announcement in " Nan Yang Siang Pau " dated 23/5/05.

But from my understanding, the MPSJ will finalise this matter again in this coming saturday ( 28/5/05 ) full board council meeting.

I fully agree with Mr. P C although MPSJ got their power to approve but the PDRM should officially announce the actual location to build whether in Subang Jaya or in Puchong to clear our doubt ! cos both ( usj 8 & BK 5 Kinrara, Puchong ) are deserve land for polis station.

Will keep all of us inform after the full board council meeting.

Err...now Orchi is freaking confused again...MPSJ IS ONLY supposed to process whatever is being applied for n submitted by the project owner/contractor/etc etc...

Hence...in this kinda thingy...at this stage...how come political fellas or newspapers are making this sorta announcement...when we have YET to hear any news from the PDRM in the very beginning...?!

N...how come none of the JKP fellas ever been notified of this kinda thingy is happening in MPSJ's so called...sub committee meetings lah...or full committee meeting lah...or were they notified?!

N...how come nothing has YET to come from the ADUN's or MP's mouths whom are FULLY responsible for SUBANG/USJ constituencies...about this latest so called new development on the Balai or IPD issue lately...?!

Plans for SJ district police station

The Subang Jaya district police station will be built under the Ninth Malaysia Plan.

Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Noh Omar said a proposal had been submitted to the Economic Planning Unit in the Prime Minister's Department for approval.

Err...so now Orchi asks again...could this piece of bulletin posted in the YB Dato' Lee Hwa Beng website...ahem...be a lie...?!

Since LHB is one of the senior MPSJ councilors, he has an obligation to clarify. I agree that the IPD should be in USJ8; even it is not, the USJ8 land must still have A POLICE STATION, NOT A FOODCOURT.

Subject: RE: From IPD Subang Jaya to IPD Puchong

Dear Robert Chan,

Firstly, I have not seen any minutes in MPSJ that said anything about this change. Secondly, MPSJ has no power to approve the name change. The power lies with the Police Force alone.

There is no likelihood of the name change. However, the site of the HQ may be at Kinrara due to the larger area. Kinrara has 8 acres and USJ 8 only 3.5 acres. If the HQ is decided to be at Kinrara, there should be an upgrade for USJ 8 to a proper balai too.

I have not been invited to any meetings to discuss the above. However, I have been doing my homework to try to have the HQ in USJ 8. The final choice is left to the police.

Bye.

Yours In Service,
Lee Hwa Beng

ADUN Subang Jaya

Deputy Internal security Minister Noh Omar announced yesterday that MPSJ has proposed a site for the Subang Jaya district police headquarters (IPD) building.

Sorry folks, the IPD is not in your backyard.

Your beloved MPSJ has chosen Bandar Kinrara, Puchong,

Does that mean MPSJ can now officially hand over the police reserved land in USJ8 to foodcourt developers?

Who in MPSJ had lobbied on the quiet for the IPD to be built in Bandar Kinrara?

Read the analysis at usjXpress frontpage.

Looks like there are some undercurrent draging away the usj pondok as well. Then a situation of what happen to Millionium big bird park may be in the next act. Then mpsj will give the final say to an unproductive property to make it ..err...'benefit' the community.
Let's hope that the above scenario does'nt comes true and still hope that the other 3 balai, one of them is in usj8.

I looked at my map, it seems that there is a road called Jalan mulia which cut across USJ8 and that can be built to connect straight to puchong just before IOI mall.

It is high time that the authorities consider building this new road if the IPD is to be build in bandar kinrara. It would make it easier for USJ folks to go there. ;)

Now that the location of the IPD has been decided, the most important thing is to ensure that a police station is built at the vacant land in USJ 8. The location of the IPD does not matter so much as you cannot lodge a report at the IPD anyway.

The Puchong aduns and MP are doing their job. they were working hard to get the ipd there.Bravo to them. Our MP Loh was also fighting hard for the IPD to be in USJ.Did he have a tag team partner, Adun of SJ? What was our ADUN doing..he was busy with food court issues and PAC trip to Egypt that was cancelled. anyway SJ got the Millenium place what..which now will become a food court?? Most expensive food court....Malaysia Boleh Record Books entry soon. ;)

BTW Selangor is a developed state celebration in august. Millions of $$$ will be spend for another records books entry. In the meantime we don't have the right ratio for police to resident ratio. Don't have the right ppl or process to approve development. Can't afford to be build agama school. theer is lack of transparency. Our councillors are appointed not elected. How come these politicians always have temporary amnesia attacks
when it comes to keeping to their pledges and promises that they made prior to an election.

As much as one of these ADUNs may harp on his great work, I still find him and his mannerism too much stomach. Therefore I will always hold him in contempt until he proves otherwise. His actions ( or in-action! ) sometimes leaves me more baffled than annoyed! as I wonder who is he trying to please...

Now that our Subang Jaya and USJ have been sliced up ~ even the reps seems to be confused where they stand to represent, and it seems that whoever decided to carve up our piece of heaven have succeeded in dividing whatever unity we had. Even our JKP zones have been sliced up to keep us from forming a formidable stand against the establishments.

At the rate things are going - the establishment will not change the name of the IPD so then, when they "forget" to build the police station in USJ 8 and when USJ'rians protest - someone is gonna tell us all to shut up and use the IPD "Subang Jaya" in Kinrara ......

Now why is the establishment so keen on the IPD being built in a rush over on the other side?? I thought the urgency was to have a proper BALAI POLIS in USJ first.... Can't our ADUNs and MPs lobby for this as a point of urgency... or do we have to start Sms'ing the YBs again

I would disagree on the second part, as it seems to me as though our establishment is hell bent on dividing up into different JKP zones and electoral zones. To possibly disorganise, confuse, and divide every other potential group or zone leader from each other. Maybe I'm wrong but it sure seems that way to me.

Not everyone can be vocal, neither can everyone have the commitment and drive to get things going or organised.... so imagine when the few that are vocal, commited and can get things organised are in the same zones and areas... I'm pretty sure it can give any establishment a bluddy headache! :D

It is hard to believe that you now claim that you are unaware, that you have not been invited to any meeting etc. I just hope this is not another of "saya tidak tahu" ploy.

I think you owe all Subang Jaya/USJ residents an explanation.

In any case, I posted two months ago, that if the IPD isn't built and a foodcourt appears, you will lose all 13 votes from me and my family.

I promise you, I will work very, very, very hard to make this 13 number become 13,000 by the time the election comes. This is not a threat or election blackmail, its a promise!

Our one and only concern is that USJ8 pondok polis is upgraded to a full-fledged balai polis with right ratio for personnel:residents size.

Let's DON'T get side-tracked but stay focussed.

Make the MCA Team deliver the balai polis in 9MP.

The Gerakan-MCA team discards, then his their constituents can discard them. Make them persona non-grata if you like.

It is sad that the IPD will be located in Kinrara, this after we the “Rakyat” fought so hard for it.

Mind you, we are not talking about Politicians fighting for fame and glory; we are talking about common people coming out in numbers to pursue the right to have a safe living environment.

Name me any other place where this has happened.

Sadly as I understand, we actually had to come up against the very people we voted into office.

If the IPD is set to be built in Kinrara will the Wakil Rakyats who lobbied for the IPD to be in Puchong come out now and make sure we have a proper Balai in USJ8 for the whole of USJ?

I think we should put it to them.

At the rate things are going - the establishment will not change the name of the IPD so then, when they "forget" to build the police station in USJ 8 and when USJ'rians protest - someone is gonna tell us all to shut up and use the IPD "Subang Jaya" in Kinrara ......

hehe.... Greenbug... at the rate the YBs are going, everyone in USJ will be fed-up with the antics and sudden amnesia of their ADUNs, they then should get voted out of office..... but come election time, MIRACLES do happen for these ADUNs... ( somehow, somewhere - the opposition candidate would F***-up and screw his own candidacy papers and our good ol' ADUNs would keep their freaking seats uncontested....) and DO they smile or smirk  at all those who had prayed hard for a new ADUN!....

By the look of things, like I said in an earlier post... they gonna build the IPD and keep the Subang Jaya name to it... and when we press for the Balai in USJ 8 , they gonna say that it got transferred to Kinrara... and we can refer to that Balai... no prizes for then whats gonna happen to the plot in USJ 8....

Even if the opposition candidates could fill in their forms properly, the current set of representatives will still make it lah because the electorate are forgetful and many have been conditioned over the years to fear the unknown all the time.... so they pangkah 'X' next to the weighing scale loh... But I sleep in peace because I have never pangkah dacing..... ;)

Agreed. I remember that we all had said that it's the balai we need critically, and an IPD will be a bonus.

Yup..... we all want and need and was promised a BALAI POLIS on the USJ8 ground. We must make sure we all are together on this and not lose sight.

They can go and build whatever they want in Kinrara or Puchong or wherever, as long they build a BALAI POLIS on the current plot.

Anything else, we are all screwed.... and nothing beats a population screwed! So, to the people who made the promise, pls just build the BALAI now or under the next Rancangan Malaysia ke-9 but pls do keep your promise.
