If KL is not too far for you & guests, you can try Restoran Stadium Negara at Jln Yap Kwan Seng...

LaLa Chong is a good choice! Your friend would love it. I like the simple Tuna Pucuk Paku - yum yum and healthy too!!!

Never tried pucuk paku before. But after the first taste of it, I even cook my own Pucuk Paku ala Lala Chong's style!

You can try Restoran Nelayan in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, KL. They have steamboat buffet and also ala-carte.

RolyPoly, my family has decided to boycott the place...at least for a year!!!

We stopped going to LalaChong for dinner abt 1 year plus ago. Reason being they overcharged until recently ie 3-4 months ago, we started going back to give it another shot (since we've ran out of makan place during weekends...) :p

In most occassions, there'll be 6-7 pax of us. Std dishes are hotpot taufu (RM12), sambal belancan pucuk paku (RM15), salad prawns (RM30), lala (RM15) & fish (patin/bawal average size - RM25) which bill will come up to approx. RM110-RM120 incl. rice & etc stuffs...

But that's the price for 3-4 months ago...when we had the same dishes on last Sat nite, this time the bill came up to be RM176!!!! We asked the rest manager why over-charged when dishes are still the same. Well, as you may also predict, same old lame excuse, "Most stuffs hv gone up in prices, so we have to follow...!"

Should try this authentic “Ikan Bakar Melaka" makan place. They have experienced Chefs from Melaka, giving you the ORIGINAL taste of Muara Sungai Duyong Ikan Bakar without having to drive down to Melaka! A lot of people said the food is very very GOOD!! You should try! The address is below:
Duyong@Kinrara
Lot 796, Jalan Kinrara
Off 7 1/2 mile
Jalan Puchong

or call the owner - 0122012526

Yup I agreed. Duyong @ Kinrara in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong is definitely my choice for a good meal of ikan bakar. :) Price wise, much better than other seafood in town and I guarantee you would not be dissapointed.
