:D here goes...
2 cups of flour
2 cups of fresh milk
4 med eggs
1 small tea spoon of olive oil or margerine
I then "BLENDER" IT! ( I hate to do the whisking in a mixer bowl !)
OPTIONAL
add banana or strawberries or diced apple ( PULSED BLEND)
Use soup ladle as scoop ~ even measurement ma..
Cook on skillet or flat saucepan ( non stick pan better !) low-med flame for 5-7 min or until bubbles are gone... flip it once and serve ( with maple syrup/honey/choc syrup etc etc...

Always love pancakes but couldn't produce nice ones!
Ok, will try it out and see how your recipe turned out! :p
Has anyone tried those ready made pancake mix sold on the shelf? Apparently just add water and mix. Is it any good?

Tastes ok, but if u want authentic ones, better mix the mixture urself.

Can the flour be subsituted with self rising flour or can baking powder be added? Just wheat flour may make the pancake too tough. What about adding that cream of tartar? will it make the pancake any better?

From Alexius's recipe, am wondering now if they are meant to be crepe or pancakes. Actual pancakes require some sort of raising agent like baking soda/powder, or like Firefly says, selfraising flour.
For fluffier thick pancakes, it is best to have a raising agent and also to beat the whites separately. That way you get at least 1cm high pancakes. Also, flip them over slowly when they are 2/3 cooked, and never reflip them again after both sides are cooked. The reason for flipping when 2/3 cooked, u want to trap the air bubbles in when it is flipped. That way they continue rising, it's a joy to watch them gain height. :)
P/S: add vanilla essence to counter the taste of baking soda.
