24HRS Security Watch In USJ 2 & Others

Hi there fellow USJnian,

i am kind of new to the forum. i wanted to discuss about the security in the vacinity. it is getting worse day by day. couple of days back around 10 pm, my sister who leave near by called and told me and my brother there were some men standing infront of her house. As soon as we when, the men were missing.

This kind of situation is getting worse. Both my sister and brother leaves at USJ 2.

We managed to get assistance from a security company to conduct patrol to our houses. The charges are so reasonable. If there are more subscribers, then the company does not mind to conduct patrol on a 24 hrs basis. now they only come at night.

wondering is there is anyone who is interested in getting this kind of services.

we need to put a full stop to this kind of petty crimes.

I think there are a lot of families living out there in USJ 2 as frightened as you are and they really have no one to turn to since the police can't do much to protect them from crimes.

However, please also remember that there are not many people log into the internet to read this forum. Thus they might want to have security patrol at their area but couldn't know where to turn to.

May I suggest that you or your brother leave a friendly message into their mailboxes about your kind intention?

Well, many of times these burglars camp up in the roof top and no one knows about it. Tell me, how often do we actually climb up and check on the roof top ? maybe when the water tank is giving some problem, roof leaking ? erm... anyway. regards to look for a community guard. one question, this isn't cheap and how effective can the guards be ? 2 personnel rounding the whole area at a time? well, statistics shows that this isn't as effective as it sounds.

The police department are there not to prevent a burglary to happen. They cannot anything unless the burglary is done. They investigate and try identifying the person responsible of it. They can't be there infront of your door step 24 hours. But they can act upon receiving information ie : a central monitoring station calls them to inform them regards to the exact location and information needed.

Well, what i would propose here is actually to have your home protected with a reliable security alarm system being linked to an effective / efficient and reliable central monitoring station. This would be an alternative way and much more cost saving instead of employing guards. Anyhow, how sure could the community be that every home will make a contribution for the guard services ?

eh.. pratheep ... kita duduk same lorong laa... wat a coincidence. anyway, i dun plan to hire security guard... no budget ... i think we should improve ties among our neighborhood la... rite?
