Had one joker that came to my place. Recommended by a hardware shop that sold me the lock.
1st off, he just cut cut cut. had the door up on it's hinge.
Then down. drill to his heart's content.... that's when he notice the frame is only 4" and he have already opened the front hole. the side hole would cut thru the side wood and into the panel!!!
Said the lock was too long!!! he could have saved all that trouble had he measured first and not just cut the door!!!!!
RUIN A PERFECT NICE NYTOK DOOR!!!!! Dare not ask me for any payment and cabut!!!!! Said he was going for tea and never came back!!!!!
I had to remove the door myself and refit back the old door.
Those door normally have about 6 inches or so . Unless that joker cut away 2 inches to fit your door or it was a wrong size door .....

when i changed my doorset i realized that the previous hole was at least an inch deeper to the left than the previous brand of doorset used, due to the latch being of different lengths.
i switched the latch to use back the old one, and it worked fine. thank God!
