A toddler is a small child, between 1-3 years old. something like that lah.

I was fortunate that my kids were very good eaters - they now have the size to show for it. At that time, they loved salmon porridge, with and without bovril/marmite.

We had to cook special dishes as their taste buds are not tuned to adult tastes. The food needs to be toned down. Clear vegetable soup with rice worked well too. Even just boiling soup bones and a little spinach is good. The food needs to be softer.

I remember my neighbour's kid who did not have a good appetite. She would mix rice with warm water, a bit yoghurt and add in a pinch of salt.

When they were older (3-4 years old), I would make spagthetti bolognaise but the sauce is simplified. Going heavy on the garlic, onions and herbs will not go too well with kids that age.

I had trouble making my kids swallow vegetables so I would chop them up or boil them soft to add to the food (although I know now that boiling them soft is not that good).

mad1126, you did not tell very much about your kid's likes and dislikes so I hope this helps.

Hi there...not very sure what your kid may like but here is a recipe for you and the link to a great recipe site that I use. Hope it helps! :)

Broccoli Alfredo Pasta #117021
Very creamy and a little cheesy. Great way to get kids to eat broccoli! This recipe is adapted from Taste of Home. You can use fresh or frozen broccoli in this.
1 (8-12 ounces) package pasta (I use fettucine or rotini)
2-3 cups broccoli, chopped
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/3 cups milk
1/4 cup romano cheese, shredded (or parmesan)
salt and pepper

4-6 servings

20 minutes 5 mins prep

Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.
Meanwhile, steam broccoli until tender, but still crisp, about 5 minutes, and drain.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Whisk in flour until smooth.
Gradually whisk in milk.
Bring to a boil, and cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
Remove from heat and stir in the cheese and broccoli.
Toss with the pasta to coat.

wah... 9.2kg only??? My daughter is 5 months old already 9.2kg!!! My daughter ma overweight like that?? I have to do something man...

Give them foods which are sweet by nature. Like sweet potatoes or carrots. They should like them. What about ABC soup with rice??
