My family is thinkin' of getting a family potrait; can anyone recommend a good studio with reasonable charge? ( the ones i asked only has packages like those for weddings costing >rm500 ).TQ

hmckl, I have not come across any studio yet which provide family portrait service for a reasonable charge around USJ, unless other members have. I know there is a shop in sunway pyramid which takes kids picture.
Probably the backdrop (background) and lighting cost a bomb, thus the high cost. If you intend to frame it up and hang on the wall, then u might need a pro else just you can set up a tripod and a camera with a timer. I took my family portrait for CNY card with a tiger cub and then printed 4r at 45cents and attached to all our CNY card to relatives and friends.
A photoshop that can take passport photos can also take family photos but not at the quality of a studio... the grand grand look....

I guess as with a lot of 'old ways', the old-fashioned photo studio which can take any type of photos u want has been muscled-out by the new high-tech way of doing things. Perhaps we may need to go to smaller towns? :(

Hi all, I'm also thinking to have a photo shots for family portraits, any idea what photo studio offer reasonable prices ? The one i asked in Grace knot was quite expensive for two(2) photos cost me RM248 ...

hmm.... if cost is a factor, u may wanna consider takin ur family portraits at home or outdoors like at a park or garden, etc. if so checkout this photographer (http://www.alexmoi.net/blog/page/2/) d mood n expression is there in his photography.
he oso does studio shots tho... ;)

yes yes! i sokong. the photog is pretty good with portraits. i've seen his work and he is good.
don't go for the stiff studio shots lah. go outdoors and have a more natural and carefree family photos. that always brings out the natural smiles and happiness.
