There used to be a place in SS15 selling Korean BBQ buffet style. It's called Restaurant Talipon (something like that). I used to love that. It's no longer there but I do see the same name in other places (eg Taman Megah). I wonder if they are still selling Korean BBQ. Price is quite ok .... around RM20 per person.

Check out the Korean Restaurant next to McDonald's on the 3rd floor of Amcorp Mall!

Try the Korean Kimchi soup - it's hot, it's delicious, it's spicy....and it makes you sweat, sweat, sweat!!!! Extremely good when you have a flu and blocked nose, will certainly cure you from your cold!!!

We always aske for the soup to be prepared without any meat, purely vegetables - e.g. kimchi, tofu (very smooth ones), thick vermicelli, onions and mushrooms!! It's to die for especially if you love kimchi...like moi!

The 2nd item to try out is the bulgogi (beef) or the chicken version. The beef version is not spicy. I prefer the chicken one which is PEDAS!!!

The price is very reasonable. Every set meal comes with small bowl of side dishes and soup. Usually cost me less than RM20 for a fulfilling meal that put a smile on my face and keep my tummy warm throughout the day!! :p

Ask my close friend who goes there twice a week!!! Ha ha ha....the kimchi soup or stew keeps her going back for more, more, more!!!

If I am not mistaken, I saw the same Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant in Taipan, opposite McDonald's, on the top floor of the new shoplot. The neon light has been advertising this restaurant's name. Not certain if this is the same restaurant. Does anyone know?

The Taman Megah branch serves Korean style BBQ but not really korean food. Lots of variety though. They even had Yee Sand during CNY. Price is about Rm18.80 per person.

Talking of Korean restaurant operated by korean, I have tried one at Damansara Uptown 5 (Uptown 5 is an office building at Damansara Uptown), it's where few walks away from McDonald, their food is nice. Ala-Carte order, average spending per head is RM25. Nice environment.

With the development of restaurants and eateries in Taipan, slowly Subang / USJ will give Bangsar and Hartamas a good healthy rivalry. I'm very impressed with Daorae. By the looks of it, seems posh.....and i like the way they have the digital electronic board display facing Taipan, i got attracted to it.

is the one in taipan start operating?

Any information about them, like food quality comparing the Hartamas?

Does this need booking as well
