I'm not aware if there's such service in our neighbourhood. Personally i would not trust pet shop staff handling my pet. I know of some vet clinic that provide boarding services. You can approach some of them like Healing Room in Subang Parade or Subang Animal Centre in SS18. Sometimes the vet tech double up as part-time pet sitters but this is purely on personal capacity.

Left my cat once at a Pet shop in Taipan as we were going for a holiday - never again. The poor kitty was cooped up in the cage the whole time. Must have been very stressful as it was placed in a public area and can't even find a place to hide.
The Subang Parade 'Pets Wonderland' doesn't sound bad. Whenever I want to go away, someone usually my brother, will stay back to look after my Hazel. So Idon't worry -that- much since he isn't interested in travelling.

But never heard about them pet sitting or boarding. Not all pet shop will provide that service, especially big ones like Pets Wonderland unless the company has a provision for that sort of thing. Try Healing Room, same management as Pets Wonderland, their veterinary arm i should think. The staff is friendly to both humans and pets.

Hi :)
I'm a hobbyist breeder and I'm going to start a boarding/hotel service for pocket pets soon (mainly hamsters, rats, mice and gerbils). Food, water, bedding, occasional treats and care will be provided. :) But owners have to bring some of their own food because sudden changes to their diet can cause diarrhoea, and their own cages. If your cage is too big then I can provide a smaller cage to house your pet in.
But before I start this, I would appreciate anyone's opinion on starting this.
Thankyou,
M. Lumina

oh yea, I forgot to mention. If anyone in Subang wants to board, I can pick it up from summit.
Hmmm.... I'm sorry but I don't know any good boarding facilities but I know a few places that offer that. Usually when they receive animals for boarding, most of the time they only provide food and water, they don't have time to play with them. So basically they're stuck in their cages most of the time.

hey dears,
good day to you all n ur lovely pets :)
if u were to leave ur pets in places like animal clinic or healing rooms, dont u think they will be place in the same floor as the sick babies ? just thinking lor... then off course in clinics there will always b someone there so it wouldnt be so lonely for ur baby. pet shop = cage n lonely :( i think best if could find some members that can help look after ur baby till u r back. think this would b much better lor ;) .
mayb u could check in some pet shops or pet clinics personal if they do it privately to make sure they are home boarding... at lease your baby wouldnt be so lonely. if u stil need it, i can check with the grooming shop that i bring my baby if they knows anyone could help.
i personaly bring my baby to my mother when i have to leave town :D

Good idea! My suggestion is that you have to state the time you will spend to observe and play with each of them. In fact, pet sitting is quite common in US. Malaysian is getting the awareness after those news on pet abuse, we have to be better pet owner!

there's a pet hotel in kampung tunku (SS1 in pj). the owners of the place operates a pet boutique and they are big time animal lovers themselves.
they even have a pool for the dogs!!
they might be a bit pricey though, considering the facilities that they have to offer.

I have adopted a mongrel puppy last 2 weeks. She was very weak and injured. I afraid i would not be able to take care of her so i send her to "Hillpark veterinary medical centre" at Kota kumuning for medication. My puppy boarding there for 2 weeks with medication, the doctor just charging me RM20 per day.

Hiyii ysloh, you may want to check out SS19, there is a pet shop but i couldnt remember the name. Reasonable price and safe.
The other one you can check out is Clinic Mayo in Taipan.
Please be careful when it comes to chosing a boarding place for your beloved pets...
You wouldnt want to experience what i have gone through. 1 pet shop in USJ lost my cat when i was away for CNY.

Hi,
I'm new to the forum. I am interested to start a home boarding for dogs in my home in USJ 3. My house is a corner lot with a 5 feet garden. I used to do home boarding for dogs and was a dog walker when I was living in Dubai. The maximum dogs in my home that I take is 2 dogs. I have a very friendly cross crocker spaniel with me. I was a volunteer with the local dog shelter, K9 Friends for 8 years and a reference letter from the shelter if you like to see them.
My questions is how much is the normal market rate that they charge per day here for boarding at the shop? Does anyone used a dog walker services here? And if there is such service how much is the going rate.
Thanks in advance.
