might not be the correct category to post this message but this category getting the most hit..

4/3 Friday 7pm++ on the way out, saw these 3 indons walking along jalan usj 11/4j quite fast.. 1 of them sporting a pony tail kept looking up and checking the veranda area ... might be checking if the veranda's are gated or not. while the other two kept walking and looking straight.

I stared at the 1 with the pony tail and 3 of them stared back at me and my wife.

anyway, those who lived at usj 11/4 area be cautious these few days. I might be wrong on my judgement but.. lock your gate and etc.

Thank you. On top of keeping our house safelt locked, it would be best that we install house alarms plus netting for the ceiling. I believe at lest it will helps to keep this people away.

Hope my reply is not too late...

Actually, locking your gate is just ain't enuf...believe it or not, my house was broken-in 2 weeks ago. Whoever did that (at least 2) were really daring; they entered from front entrance during day time! They forced open my auto-gate (probably using a heavy metal/crow bar), cut away the "ears" for the pad lock, broke the grill lock as well as broke all the locks at the wooden door!

For now, I've added motion detector for the ceiling as well as the back yard area!

A tip for all of you. Install motion detectors to cover most of the angles above your ceilings. Set them at 24hours, meaning its on even if your alarm isnt ARMED. And if you are installing plaster ceiling dont remove the existing ceiling. Instead ask the contractor to add more of those metal beams for your plaster ceiling. This way if they have to break the ceiling, it will make more noise and you can run away.

These thiefs are very brave and desperate nowadays. My neighbor called me to tell me that an Indian man was driving around the neighbor three or four times. Stopped by my house and tried to open the gate. Even the stupid security people didnt know. That's why I dont pay for them

I wish you guys would just call the Police when you see such people roaming around.

Don't just keep talking about it.

Are you waiting for a personal invitation from the Police or are you waiting for something to happen first?

It would be interesting to see how fast the police will respond and come. In my case, many yrs ago, it took them about 1.5 hours to reach my house when I discovered it being broken into. FYI... if I go on my knees and crawl, it'll take me about half an hour from my house to get to the police station. Believe it.

During CNY, 2 Indo tried to enter my friend's place from backyard, thank goodness the maid was awake & alerted the owner @ my friend. He called the police but only Rela members showed up after 20 mins! Are Rela = police???

When my house was broken-in 2 weeks ago, the first thing I did when I got a call from my mother was to inform the police but only 2 patrol officers showed up. They didn't even entered the house, to secure the place or check the crime scene.

The only thing they did was told me to make an official report at the police station after I've estimate/identify all the items stolen. They can't do anything since they're just patrolling officers. Such case should be handled officially by the officers in the police station.

I spent more than 1.5 hours at the police station, writing down my own report and I even asked the officer on-duty (couple of times) if there'll be police officer(s) who'll be going to the crime scene to investigate or talk to neighbours as part of their procedures. They briefly answered they' know what to do. After completing my report, they told me I'm free to go.

After I got home, a photographer came to take some shots and finger prints. I asked what happened to the police officer who has been assigned to investigate and the photographer told me there won't be anyone else except him!

Maybe house break-ins are daily affairs and it won't be jusfiable to make extra efforts in the eyes of authorities. By the end of the day, when I asked when can I expect a result from the police investigation, the only answer I got was, it could be months or even years!!!!!
