Hey all,

Found a great way of reaching ASTRO's Customer Service...must share with the loyal people who visit this forum...then you can tell others what you benefit from here lah!

After CNY, my friend came back to KL and found his ASTRO's transmission down. He tried calling ASTRO's customer service centre's no: 9543 4188 for 2 days and all he heard was : All our officers are busy now. You can fax or email to us at....blah, blah, blah!!!! Pls press ?? for Main Menu or press ??? to end this call!. One doesn't even get the chance to be put on hold!!!!!

After hearing his complaints, I tried dialling the no. and I got the same responds for 15 mins. So, I press ?? to go to Main Menu and hear the same voice instruction and nothing has changed.

Then......(ha ha aha ha) I decided to dial 9543 6688 which is ASTRO's TV and Magazine Advertising Enquiries and INSTANTLY it was answered by a HUMAN!!!! I complaint about not being able to reach any customer service officer for 2 days, imagine 2 days without ASTRO's transmission, and the funny machine wants me to e-mail or fax!!!!!! What if my email or fax just go into empty hole ............ so I have to wait for another 2 days. I told her I need to get to an officer NOW! She said she just called the officer and her call easily went through. So fine, put me through then! And she did!!!!!

So, in the future if you faced the same problem as I do, just call Advertising Enquiries....definitely no waiting is required!!!!! ASTRO just doesn't want to upset its potential advertising revenue from flowing in, so no waiting for it's high revenue generating customer!!!!! But for us "ciku" who only generates RM110 per month, well..........we can continue to listen to the machine online!!!!

And in case you can't remember this tel. no, just flip your ASTRO's programme guide, voila! it's all inside!!!!

Don't forget to tell others that you learnt this from our forum!!!

I don't have anymore problems with Arsethrow anymore. Stop their services since they raised it by RM5, mar. There are public FREE TV programmes to keep me and my family happy. Besides, most of Arsethrow's programmes are repeats. Aiyoooo.... :(

A friend of mine said the same thing too! His family terminated ASTRO after the RM5 increase. They said, with 8TV now, they have more than enough of good programmes to view in the evening. So, no need ASTRO liao!!

Migrate on mass to mitv, the new pay station.

That will show astro not to be so customer-unfriendly !
Their fees is daylight robbery too !

One thing's for sure. When I terminated my Arsethrow, I got lots of calls from their customer service as well as their marketing people. Not once but at least 3 times. My answer stays i.e. give me back my old rates and I'll re-subscribe.
Actually, they did and it's CHEAPER by RM5 from the old rate but it's only valid for 3 months.

Agree with you folks. I too am waiting for MITV. Anything reasonable and I will chuck Astro out faster than you can say astro. All the time I had felt their rate was a bit exhorbitant. Then when they increased it.....that was the last straw!! Now...I am waiting.............

Heard that MiTV may not have Wah Lai Toi ......so a bit in dilemma....
But good news MiTV will have Korean channels and Asia MTV - with Chinese, Korean, HK hits!!! I am looking forward to it.

Also noticed that MiTV has started advertising for staffs....so that's a sign it will launch its service soon. Anyone has details?

I am looking forward to a replacement of Arsethrow!.....hee heee I like this new coined name!

I also have so much of problem with Astro and wish to switch over to MiTV as soon as they are operational. Even if eventually MiTV is no better than Astro, we will still switch because by then we can have a choice between two devils.

Does anyone know when exactly when MiTV is operational, and how do we subscribe? What are the reasons holding up their commencement? Political?

when is this mitv will be launched? i cant wait for it. astro is really sucks now! after they increase RM5, more and more problems with the transmission. and plus you have to subscribe to see new movies. what are we paying every month are repetitions of old movies and programmes. anyhow, i cant terminate it since other free tv channels reception like 8tv, ntv7 are poor. so, i need astro to get good reception.
