Hey surfers,

I've been using Time Webbit close to 9 months now and the service is really a FAR CRY from TMNet Streamyx. It's really hard to get a decent speed at decent time to surf. Things like checking emails crawls down to a slow speed during peak hours (5pm-1am). Their speed are nothing close to matching Streamyx, as I use Streamyx in the office. P2P and streaming is also awefully slow, let alone stream their Time WebTV service.

Moreover, we have to pay RM89 (extra RM1) for a 448(up)/256(down)Kbps speed, compared to RM88 for 1Mbps of Streamyx. :P

Worse, the modem costs RM499!!!

Gee, dudes, we're kinda stuck here (Bandar Utama) as the only broadband provider here is Time Webbit. We are enslaved to Webbit.

So, for those out there can have the liberty to choose your broadband freedom, don't ever dare to touch Webbit! You'll burn your $$$ and your patience....waiting for your page to load or your MP3 to finish downloading.

That's a shame! How to get MiTV in future like that?

Btw, not all of Bandar Utama uses fiber phone lines. The other side of BU (the Centerpoint/1-Utama side) uses copper, hence are able to use Streamyx.

Aw...what a waste to spend so much money...
Is Bandar Utama under Maxis or Telekom?
