Dear All,

I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate's son who has just recovered from dengi fever. Apparently, his son was in the critical stage at the SJMC ICU when his pallet counts drops to 15 after 15 litres of blood transfusion.

His father was so worried that he seek another freind's recommendation and his son was saved. He confessed to me that he give his son raw juice of the papaya leaves. From a pallet count of 45 after 20 litres of blood transfusion, and after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice, his pallet count jumps instantly to 135. Even the doctors and nurses was surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he ask me to pass this good news around.

Any doctor's comment?

Peter, according to my friend , he was so devastated to see his son in ICU at SJMC and the doctors cannot improve his condition despite 15 litres of blood transfusion and the situation was getting worst, the lungs are about to affected and the least they say was he may go into pneumonia until the papaya leaf juice came and save the situation.

But I read a previous tread by rolypoly under cure for dengi , whereby the pegaga plant juice is another source of miracle recovery. However, Palmdoc says that it may have been the patient is so happen to recover just when, the juice is administered. But imagine this child is being monitored under ICU by specialist and definitely if there is an improovement after blood transfusion it should show. Neverthe less the father is happy that all ends well.Sometimes, chinese medicine prooved to be more effective for sickness like Typhoid and shingles.BTW the child affected stays in SunWay mentari area. So be prepared.

Chia, can you check with yr fren the procedure of preparing the papaya leave juice.
i.e. how many papaya leaves boil for how long in how many litres of water.
How about the dosage, how many cups per day?

Peter, accordingly it is raw papaya leaves, 2pcs just cleaned and pound and squeeze with filter cloth . you will only get one tablespoon per leaf. So two tablespoon per serving once a day. Do not boil or cook or rinse with hot water, it will loose its strength.Only the leafy part and no stem or sap. It is very bitter and you have to swallow it like Won Low Kat. But it works.

Thanks a million, man. God bless you for your good intention.

Has anyone else out there heard of this cure being used and similar results seen ?
Further, is there anyone out there, sufficiently schooled in Ayurvedic or any traditional medicine, who can shed some light on what is in the young leaf of a papaya that kick starts the production of blood platelets in the human body ?
This is quite amazing really.

Err...thank you for bringing this interesting topic up again...coz Orchi forgot to thank one person for his timely contribution of valuable infos...

Chia Hak Soon:)...one of Orchi's colleague was admitted to a private hospital nearby around the recent CNY prior to your posting about the possible remedy of the dengue fever's symptom of loosing the blood pallet counts...

Err...when Orchi saw your postings...Orchi had informed him with your infos while he was bedridden at the hospital...guess what...Orchi was later told by him that by consuming the 'juice' from papaya leafs actually stabilized lost of the blood pallet counts...almost as quickly as they could do a recheck by the hospital subsequently the pallet counts improved...

No one could explain this yet...but as far as the patient is concerned he was really happy to get an early discharge from the hospital n the rest is history...

So from the bottom of the hearts...Orchi wishes to thank you on his behalf :)

Thanks for sharing this secret recipe. I will surely try it, if there's a need as I don't see any harm in doing so.

I'd like to digress a little here...

I was admitted to SJMC, in a wheelchair, a couple of years ago with acute stomach pains and my stomach was bloated and sounded like a drum. I wasn't given any painkillers though I asked. Anyway, I went thru untrasound, MRI and X-ray. They couldn't detect anything wrong with me. Then, at night, my wife brought me 2 Zinaxin tablets and a bottle of "soh hup". In 3-4 hours, I was dancing away. I remember they charged me close to RM1.5K. My goodness, it's an expensive hotel, commonly known as SJMC. I gave the doctor a ticking in the morning before leaving to settle the bills.

Hi

It seemed it is true, as I have researched that Papaya Leaves
are used as follows:-

(source: http://www.siu.edu/~ebl/leaflets/papaya.htm )
---------------------------------------------------------

Medicinal Properties: Uses

Papaya can be used as a diuretic (the roots and leaves), anthelmintic (the Leave and seed) and to treat bilious conditions (the fruit). Parts of the plant are also used to combat dyspepsia and other digestive disorders (papaya contains a proteolytic enzyme which soothes the stomach and aides in digestion) and a liquid potion has been used to reduce enlarged tonsils. In addition, the juice is used for warts, cancers, tumors, corns and skin defects while the root is said to help tumors of the uterus. In African a root infusion is also used for syphilis and the leaf is smoked to relieve asthma attacks. The Javanese believes that eating papaya prevents rheumatism and in Cuba the latex is used for psoriasis, ringworm and the removal of cancerous growth.

Hi my dogs had a bout with erlichiosis. Now they are recovered but still their blood platelets are low. A few times on the normal range and most of the times below normal range. Tonight I gave them boiled papaya leaves. I have dried papaya leaves, tear the leaves and put in a pot of water to boil. I put it on their dish bowl. They just licked it 2x-3x, seems they don't like it(it's like tea). So I put 1 tablespoom of coconut oil to the papaya water in their bowl, they finished it quickly. Won't it have any effect on their blood platelets because it is boiled? Is papaya leaves good also for dogs? SHould I have given them freshly squeezed raw papaya leaves? Is there no side effects on dogs if I give boiled or squeezed juice of raw papaya leaves? I have researched about papaya leaves on the internet for some time since a friened told me that papaya leaves are good for the blood platelets, however she does not know how to prepare it or if it is okay to give to dogs. Is there a particular type of papaya plant or any kind of papaya plant will do? I found out about this website just tonight. Anybody please help . thank you.

My 3 years old son was hospitalized (Tawakal Hospital) due to dengue fever. On the forth day in the hospital around 3pm in the afternoon,my son was confirmed having dengue fever, his platelet count drop from 169 on the first day he was hospitalized to 92. And the symptom of red spot start to appear on his body. Then I start to recall the circulating e-mail that I received few months back on the cure for dengue fever and I was also told by my colleague that her friend have use this method to cure her dengue fever. My Indonesian maid also told me that, back in Indonesia the papaya leave was very common in every household as cure for high fever. They call the tree "Papaya Gantung". With all these testimonial, I have no doubt this will cure my son fever. I have to do it myself because I was told that there is no medicine for dengue fever. After I made the juice, I tried it myself first and yes it really taste very bitter and to confirm that will not harm my son. Then at about 9pm at night the same day. I took the juice and gave it to my son. At around 12 midnight my son temperature drop to normal (36.9 degree), at the very moment I told my self that this juice is really working because for the last four days, every night my son temperature will start to rise. On the next day early in the morning doctor came an took my son blood for platelet count. At around 9am, doctor came for the checkup and we was told that we can go back because the platelet count have started to rise and my son temperature have started to normalized even without taking fever medicene. I am glad that this miracle juice really cure dengue fever. I just wondering why nobody in the health department or doctors try use this method to cure other dengue patient. This tree is so abundant in our country.

Please - not more ridiculous papaya stories. We already had the pegaga leaves myth (http://medicine.com.my/2005_01_01_mmrarchive.html#110652088637376182) here.
The fever in dengue will usually settle after 5-7 days and the platelet counts will start to rise spontaneously. Anything given towards the tail end of the disease will look like a "miracle cure"
Unless you people begin to understand the basic concept diseases run a natural course (with some variation in severity from individual to individual - hence you cannot make conlusions based on individual anectdotes) you'll continue to make the wrong conclusions.
I have not encountered any dengue patient requiring 15 litres of blood transfusion (the body has about 5 litres) !

Thanks Looi SC for the feedback.

Indeed the enzymes of papaya have been proven to have amazing curing effects for many diseases including cancers : http://www.guangming.com.my/content.phtml?sec=865&sdate=&artid=200701123800 (*Remark : 孕婦不可服用青木瓜汁,因會引發小產. Pregnant women can't take green papaya juice since it can cause miscarriage.)

I believe more will be unveiled if people are willing to share all there info and have an open and diversified mind set to discover and accept all these nature's "myths" for the goods of mankind.

Please distinguish carefully between prevention and cure. When you say cure of a particular cancer you mean treatment of the disease causing complete remission and no further recurrence of the cancer.
Generally we encourage taking lots of fruits and veggies (not artifical supplements) for a healthy lifestyle and primary prevention of illnesses including heart disease and some cancers. "Guarding against cancer" as the article implies is correct to some extent but to extrapolate this as a "cure for cancer" is far-fetched. So please no misinformation here.
Overdose of papayas causes a condition called Carotenemia (http://www.emedicine.com/derm/topic789.htm) where you develop yellow skin and yellow palms (and sometimes headaches)
On a related note, clinical trials with betacarotene supplements have not shown it to be useful or effective for cancer prevention so take the fruit, not the supplement.
