I kinda noticed that it has been hazy the past few days. Visibility is kinda poor around the PJ area. Anyone concur with me or is it just me?

KL also hazy, KLCC hardly visible even in mid-day.

Is Sumatra having forest fires again.

No news at all in the english dailies. Another attempt to keep it under the blankets to safeguard the tourism industry at the expense of public health?

Err...friends air travelling back to KLIA...have been informed by flight crew that visibility around KLIA has been poor...

Having much of the days lately without experiecing stronger wind n heavy rain...it could be natural causes of KL n its surrounding areas being hazy due to excessive smog... :o

Whatever happened to our haze monitoring system? Isn't the Health Ministry obligated to alert the public? Or must they wait for a drastic rise in nose and throat problems in hospitals before they issue a haze alert? Christmas holidays are over, and CNY is not here yet...so why is everybody in the govt not responding?

Could also be due to KL's smog. No rain to clean the air, so smog builds up from the cars' and factories' emission. Was in Kedah last weekend, and the air was clear.

Couple of days ago I saw some burning in the distance from KLIA..it looks like the peat soil fires have started again around the KLIA area due to the hot weather..that is the erason for the haze around that area.

Looks terrible from my office window. A few in my family are starting to cough. The silence from the govt is deafening.

Hopefully not because of the chinese making love letters and bbq'ing the bak kua.... :D

I notice this the past few days travelling from usj to kl via NPE. Can hardly see 5km especially the buildings.....these few days are very dry and hot. Maybe some burning around.....

I agree too........saw along the KESAS highway towards Port Klang........left and right the bushes emitting smoke............usually when weather too hot and dry spell..........bush fire occurs but up till now did not see anything being done to wet the green............emm..........maybe our water tank is quite empty to do some watering................

DOE will then onie start to put straight some record that blah blah factors causing the hazy weather.............maybe it's time for them to weed the cloud and send some rain to us........else we might just have to endure a hot and sweaty day plus maybe some water rationing.......hope situation not that bad.............but we just never noe until some joker from the SYABAS/PUAS wake up and inform the public.........SO SLOW LAR!!! :(
