Wow, Jaya Jusco having sale on digital cameras? Usually the price at JJ is very steep. Imagine they are selling the Pentax Optio S(3mp) for RM1600(if I'm not mistaken). By now this camera should be selling for less than 1k. I think I would go for either the Casio or Kodak.

I kind of like the Panasonic Lumix range. I have used the DMC-FX5 and the DMC-LC50.
The LC50 was a package of 1 X 256mb chip, a hard carrying case and 4 x AA rechargable battery and quick charger all for RM1k.
But I think you can get the DMC-FX1 now at below 1K. FX series comes with O.I.S which is handy for shakey hands :D

err firefly, why are you not posting at the gallery?
Just curious. We hope to achieve 1000 photos in the gallery by June 1 :)

franky, I am too lazy to upload again. All were already uploaded to the photobucket so just linking them was a lot easier.
I also understand that this forum is housed in jeff's own backyard so size and bandwidth may be a limitation. ;)

The gallery engine reduces the size of ALL photos to about 20-50kb :) yet maintain the quality. I am pretty impressed by the engine.
The administrator mentioned that the server resides in a server farm somewhere in TPM. So no need to worry bout the bandwidth.
Probably after 1000 pics then I have to delete some "not so quality ones" hehehe like the one on ysloh's foot :)
