Fund Balance as at 18 Jan 2005

A check on the total collection of the fund says that the fund now stands at RM 14,928.00. There was an increase of RM 500.00 over the last balance. We were told that there is no cheque left uncleared. I have in hand RM 3,000 in cheque amount written for MRCS via USJRA which was handed over to me by YB Loh Seng Kok. This amount is excluded from the above total. This cheque will be directly handed over to MRCS when we surrender our total collection to them.

Thank you to all those who have contributed to this good cause. The money will be drawn out and handed over to the MRCS

Today is the last day for any banking in of cheques and cash. Once the accounts is closed, no cash or cheque will be accepted by the bank for this account. Any cheques still left uncleared will be returned to the drawer if the name and address is written on the back of the cheque. If not, it will be treated as cancelled and your bank statement will also show that the amount is still in your balance. The USJ Residents' Association will be opening a new account for its association's use. We are doing all this is because we do not want to be seen as leaving the account opened for subsequent donation that may come in which rightly the USJRA is not the benefiary. We have this cut off period as we do not want to spend more time than necessary to manage the fund which we intend to hand over to MRCS the soonest possible.

As to Raymond Tan's suggestion, we will be compiling this list (from those information known to us) and published them here. We also need to consult those known donors whether they want their names to be published. For those who banked in direct whether by cash or cheques will be known as concerned and generous Joe Public in SJ/USJ community.
