SJ/USJ Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund
Dear Subang Jaya/USJ Residents and fellow forumers,
The SJ/USJ Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund is a collaborative effort amongst the Neighborhood Watch movements, the Jawatankuasa Penduduk and the USJ Residents Association. The community representatives got together on the 31st of December last year and agreed that the USJ Residents Association be used as a vehicle for the purpose. In the interest of time, the existing bank account of the USJ Residents Association will be used exclusively for the purpose of collecting donations for the SJ/USJ Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund. A full disclosure of the accounting will be made available to all chairmen of the NGO groups involved in this project. Meanwhile, regular updates on the progress of the fund collected will be published in http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/ which is the SJ/USJ community website.
We hope to close the fund on the 15th of January 2005 but the account will be maintained for a further period of 5 days so as to cater for cheques that may have been banked in but remain uncleared after which the account will be closed. All monies collected will be drawn out from the account and donated to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.
On this score, I appeal to all of you to donate generously, regardless of the amount as no amount is too small nor too big. It is gratifying to see the whole community coming together for such a noble and worthy cause. You may bank in CASH donations directly to the USJRA bank account. For donation by cheques, make all cheques payable to
Persatuan Penduduk USJ
Maybank Account No: 5124 8214 3828
For your information, this fund raising initiative has the support of our community leaders and our Wakil Rakyats, namely;

4) ADUN for Kinrara - YB. Dr Kow Cheong Wei
5) MP for Kota Raja - YB. S Vigneswaran a/l M. Sanasee
